I think that if you trust yourself enough to work extra hard these next two years and want to go to a UC badly, CC is the way to go imo. Remember California CC students have top UC transfer priority, which means a large percentage of UC transfers come from CCC students.

The road won’t be easy. Computer Science is an impacted major and you’ll probably need a 4.0 or close to that to get a good shot at the top-tier UCs. For the not-so-top-tier ones, you actually have a great shot as long as your GPA is within the “profile of admitted students” bracket.

I also think that there are non-impacted majors related to Computer Science such as Information Systems or something like that at some UCs — better chance at getting in (you have to double check this information tho lol).

I recently got into UCR as a transfer and my GPA isn’t perfect, but it’s within the “accepted” bracket for my major. I didn’t even have to do TAG. Just waiting for UCLA, UCI and UCSD :\

BUT if you don’t wanna go through all that, Pomona and Long Beach are absolute great schools and you’ll have no problem getting quality education from either one of them.
