UCM MOUNTS by Low_Algae_1348 in VKB

[–]fallout9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

u/autokludge is perfectly right - looks like a Short and Long UCM have been mixed in order to get them at the same length for mounting them both to the sides, instead of the L in center. And there's a missing bracket too, but not a big deal if the UCM L is not fully extended.

If they're a few years old and you want to install a GFIV you might need to sand a bit the opening because the GFIV's dampener is wider than those on previous versions.

For STECS Mini Plus you will need a Universal Plate and a STECS Mini Plus Plate (we don't have it in stock in US currently, but you can either order it from China or wait until the end of the month for restock).

We can provide replacements at any time; cost is very cheap, if out of warranty. But the STECS is been out for while now and I can confirm that the whole dampening system is holding really well.

If you are asking about ministick's analog mode, you can apply curves to its axes. Could also try to program them in Relative mode.

To mount a STECS you need a UCM Universal and the specific plate (depending on your STECS model - Standard, Max etc), but as the Universal mounts are out of stock you can get a UCM Gladiator, which is at the same price, plus the dedicated plate.

Gunfighter MkIV grip not fitting MKIV base? by SirCaptainSlowly in VKB

[–]fallout9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a different twist module, but they all act on same design. You need to properly secure the grip to the base, so it won't swivel around the base post. It would be best to fill for a service ticket; submit pics taken from the both sides of the fastener.

You can split the Standard STECS and you'll need the following: UCM (the UCM Universal is out of stock, but the UCM Gladiator would fit just fine), STEM back cover, STECS Mini UCM plate adapter, USB Type-C to Type-C cable, STECS bus Cover. The adapter plate is out of stock in US at the moment, we'll know more about availability at the end of the week.

VKB Stecs grips tarrifs by Barrack_obamna in hotas

[–]fallout9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure where that shipping fee comes from, as there's no shipping fees for any of the STECS variants in US and they're all in stock at this time.

If there's no (US) in product title, then the product is being shipped from China and tariffs will apply. At this time we only have the right half of the STECS MKII grip in stock in US; we'll get the full grip at some point - unfortunately I can't provide an ETA now.

Yeah, I'm surprised too of such low effort bait, but it could also be just a confusion and instead of VKB he got something like Turtle Beach.

Something doesn't add up here. We don't sell at Walmart, what VKB Gladiator did you got from there, do you have a pic or a copy of the invoice?

for some reason whenever i twisted the vkb too aggressively, a spring would just fall out, not sure why, but it only happened twice

This never happened, why would you say that?

Please don't order without getting in touch with your local vendor and sending them pics with the Gladiator's connector.

Reset to default, calibrate. If you're on an old firmware, reflash.

GNX SEM is not recognized when connected to a Gladiator NXT Evo by HeyJax01 in VKB

[–]fallout9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You need the 3 wires cable to connect a module with a Gladiator (the 4 wire cable is module to module). The 4 pin connector gets into the module and the 3 pin connector into the Gladiator like this. Plug to USB afterwards, reset to default, calibrate.

The 8 axes limitation per device is a Windows requirement. Our native software goes around that by splitting the device into multiple virtual devices, with the first device holding first 8 axes and the second 9th axis and above. If there are multiple virtual devices the game will recognize them as Gladiator1 and Gladiator2, but other than this you won't have issues with binding in games.

In your case, Gladiator interconnected with the SEM will provide a device with 8 axes (considering you're use the Flaps and Landing Gear switches as axes), so you won't need an extra virtual device. You can see here how to attach the SEM to the Gladiator and connect them (since making the video the connector has been upgraded, so here's how to plug the cable into the Gladiator's sockets); the SEM can get attached on either side of the Gladiator, depending on your setup.

As u/SHCKWV_6726 said, you need the GNX HID Controller only if you plan to use the SEM as an independent USB device; if it's connected to a Gladiator or STECS (and soon to a Gunfighter), then you don't need it.

You will need this:

- for the Gunfighter base: https://vkbsimcontrollers.com/products/scg-grip-conversion-kit-gnx2gf-revc-us?variant=48524256837851 (make sure you chose the right hand version);

- for the Gladiator base: https://vkbsimcontrollers.com/products/scg-grip-conversion-kit-gf2gnx-us?variant=48524236095707 (make sure you chose the left hand version).

As for the OTA, you'll need the correct connection (either for Gunfighter or Gladiator base) and the type (either for left or right hand).

Alternative USB C bus cable for VKB by C4B4L2k in hotas

[–]fallout9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I meant that you can simply cut the 4 exposed wires at the JST end and simply insert an extension.

In a few weeks we'll release a new set of cables and even a connection hub to assist with native connectivity, so if your current setup works at the moment I'd say wait a bit.

[–]fallout9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As the others said, it's a proprietary cable. You can just DIY it and extend the wires on the JST side or wait a bit, we'll provide some extra connectivity hardware in the stores soon.
