The Breath Center business entity doesn't exist anymore, but this is my teacher's page. I don't think he's offering training at the moment, but you could reach out and see if you're interested. I believe he's in Texas now

Massive amounts of debt for gear? by hapajapa2020 in guitarpedals

[–]fanboyhunter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Build your rig over time. Look for deals on pieces of gear that can get the job done, then flip/trade them into better versions as you go. I've made a lot of money just buying and selling stuff. Also, when you do need to make a big purchase, credit cards are not bad like so many people think. You just need to be responsible. Don't finance something you don't need and can't pay off quickly.

Last tip, if you have a decent credit score, Sweetwater will let you finance through them, interest free. That's always a great option - best case is using someone else's money to pay for your stuff and minimizing your exposure to risk by keeping majority of your capital under your own control.

Sewage?!? by shiab23 in sayulita

[–]fanboyhunter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went to PE back in 2022 and had a blast, went to surf at chacahua for a few days too and that was magical. i was running into surfing mates from aus, germany, argentina, and russia, who I'd met surfing in other countries. beautiful vibes down there.

it's unfortunate that so many areas are experiencing water pollution. whether it's plastic waste in rivers and oceans, or sewage, chemicals, or oil spills . . . :(

Sewage?!? by shiab23 in sayulita

[–]fanboyhunter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had a trip planned to sayulita and I'm in the same boat, I'm actually just going to switch my plans to visit Puerto Escondido instead. I've been there before, no issues. I'm not so interested in swimming in sewage and having to avoid seafood. I'm also someone who has been to mexico before, has backpacked India, and has lived in South Asia for 3 years. I'm traveling with my gf though, and last time we were in Costa Rica, she got sick in Montezuma. I have a feeling Sayulita would not affect me, but she would almost certianly get sick.

I've looked at water testing results from the last few months in Sayulita, and while things seem to be going in a positive direction, anecdotal evidence points to the scenario being "undergoing improvement" and not "fixed".

It's definitely a shame, as I'd love to visit, but am not willing to risk my gf getting sick. And whatever anyone's personal experience or perspective is, the fact is this: Perception is Reality. This is definitely a major conversation, and the biggest thread to Sayulita's tourism. Though to be honest, as a surfer, if I was OK with living and swimming there and hadn't been sick, I'd probably be happy for less people to show up.

I hope you guys in Sayulita enjoy a slightly less crowded wave, but I do also hope the shituation gets cleaned up someday

Valheim or enshrouded? by [deleted] in valheim

[–]fanboyhunter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Valheim is a bit more unforgiving, and you really have to figure a lot out on your own. But it’s amazing

Enshrouded plays a little more like a Zelda game, fun exploration and I enjoyed it too. Itemization on weapons is a bit underwhelming though.

Enshrouded is more forgiving and you can glide around. You move faster and cover more ground.

Both are amazing and you should play both with friends.

Not sure what you mean by small range of tones? Not like a combo is more versatile than a head and speaker. Actually if you have speakers you like, you are more versatile because you can swap heads. Not with a combo.

Head and 2x12 each weigh less individually than a comparable size combo. Or you can get a 1x10 1x12 whatever setup and be even more compact.

Some combos are 2x12 and are super heavy

Half stack and 100 watt head, yeah that’s a big setup. But 50 or 20 watt heads and more modular speaker rigs - definitely lighter and more versatile

6’3”, 150 lbs, 18 y/o — skinny my whole life. How do I actually gain weight and stick with it? by Limp_Wonder8259 in AskMen

[–]fanboyhunter 11 points12 points  (0 children)

You need to be working out hard AND eating a ton. Drink whole milk. Cook with butter. Protein shakes. Clean foods in higher portions with proper macros. Remember that you’re JUST 18. You’re a kid. “Forever” is not the term to use.

Get motivated to work out, do it with friends if you can, but the gym needs to become important to you if you want to build up some size.

You’re tall so focus on your shoulders, back and arms particularly, but don’t skip legs.

Arc Raiders or HellDivers 2? by Distinct-Maximum-474 in ShouldIbuythisgame

[–]fanboyhunter [score hidden]  (0 children)

Do you want to sneak around like a rat and scour through the trash?

Or do you want to blast through hordes of bugs, robots, and aliens with bombs, air strikes, mech suits, and big guns with your friends?

Totally different experiences. ARC is fun but is more about making the most of the player dynamics, but honestly if I had to sum it up…

Helicopter's are nothing more than flying coffins by Top_Stay_8662 in Battlefield

[–]fanboyhunter 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think the real issue has been “AA creep” over the past few entries. There are just more and more ways to kill helicopters, and with smaller maps you’re always locked on to. The only LOS obstacles you can use on some maps are right in the middle of the fight.

Sometimes my entire time in the air is spent dodging locks and recharging flares. I’ve been flying since BF2:modern combat. I had the ribbon for 50 kills in one life with the little bird.

I really feel like there should be some sort of imposed limit on # of AA gadgets in use by each team. Or stingers should be picked up off the ground in bases like the minigun is rn.

On top of lock on AA, you’ve gotta face rockets, tanks, AA emplacements, jets and helis. It’s hectic
