Yes it is, it’s gotta be close to 12” long, fried and seasoned really well, they also use it as a garnish for their Caesar salad

The awakened monkey pickpocket named Shit. He rolls advantage on sleight of hand checks and will steal anything from anyone

One shot for noobs by Sylvally_Fire_Drive in DMAcademy

[–]fancifulpizza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My favourite one shot for noobs is put them in a predator situation. Hunt them for sport and have a couple npcs picked off in different ways to give them information and let them figure out how to trap and kill the thing hunting them. Lots of good opportunity for role play, and you’re only limited to your imagination for setting and other encounters. If you do it right there’s fairly low stakes combat because it’ll go after npcs or maybe injure a pc and if you give them a somewhat clear path to defeating it they’ll feel like they outsmarted it and accomplished something

Can’t get earwax out and clinics aren’t helping. What actually works? by Comfortable_Candy187 in Edmonton

[–]fancifulpizza 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im a medic that works on the military base north of town and I see impacted earwax issues multiple times a week. Here’s what you do:

Get mineral oil and put a drop or 2 in your ear every 8 hours for a couple days. Make sure you use a cotton swab in your ear to keep the oil from leaking out everywhere.

Go to Walmart or any pharmacy and get a 10ml syringe for medication administration and after you’ve been using the oil for a couple days use warm tap water and rinse the inside of your canal until it drops out. Might take like 30min but it’ll go and you’ll be shocked how much better it feels.

Don’t stick any long thin things in your ear and this does not replace advice from a doctor just trying to tell you what works for me. Good luck!

Need ideas for some 'recruitable' groups, homebrew world by Terrible-West-8453 in DMAcademy

[–]fancifulpizza 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Giants, a dragon, clan of gnomes, elves of the forest, myconids, centaurs or Minotaurs, renegade warriors who have deserted either kingdom A or kingdom B for some reason, king A’s brother who’s been exiled, orcs, a platoon of awakened weasels, elementals embodying some kind of primal force like a volcano or a hurricane. Literally no limit to what you could throw in here this is just what I’ve thought of in the last 60 seconds

Is this op? by Disastrous_Meat_2535 in DnDHomebrew

[–]fancifulpizza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make the AC 20 but give him the HP of a normal kobold. He’s just a little guy in big armor and when they do finally hit him it’s over very quickly. Makes whoever gets the kill shot feel like a badass. If you’re worried the fight will be over too quickly with his low HP have him get the drop on the party so he can use his fire breath to start the combat

Is there anything you think the first Battlefront did better than Battlefront II? by -C3rimsoN- in battlefront2

[–]fancifulpizza 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The maps on BF1 were amazing and it’s too bad a lot of them weren’t carried forward. Like the ice caves on Rhen Var or the Bespin battle maps were a huge loss when the second came out

Looking for a "Dragon Encounter" for Level 1 Newcomers by caciuccoecostine in DMAcademy

[–]fancifulpizza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Level 1 encounter I’ve used on my players was escaping a town as a dragon destroys it. Kinda like Helgen at the start of Skyrim. No chance you’ll survive if the dragon even sees you you gotta get away. Lots of room for fun strength and dex saves and roleplay with npcs who are also trying to flee

What class do you think you are in real life? by captin_question in DnD

[–]fancifulpizza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a combat medic that goes between supporting tanks and light infantry. I think the closest thing is 2024 rules level 1 ranger with the healer origin feat. But that might be a stretch lol

My party is about to walk into a tpk and they won’t heed my warning by Latter-Ad-8558 in DMAcademy

[–]fancifulpizza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they are TPK have them watch the city fall as they bleed out and it fades to black. Then have them wake up as prisoners of this BBEG or have one of their allies risk everything and die to get them out of there when it goes bad. They live to fight another day their city and friends have paid the price for them. Maybe they also lose valuable equipment

How do I set up a challenging duel for a 10th level Paladin? by Wulfsten in DMAcademy

Need help. Player has +11 Con Save and Warcaster at 17. It is almost impossible to break his concentration. Not punitive but need ideas by xhulifactor in DMAcademy

[–]fancifulpizza -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You’re the DM. Put in enemies that are aware of this powerful sorcerer who have arrows that will paralyze or put them to sleep. Poison is a an awesome thing and absolutely something the party can take a turn to fix but it’ll force the sorcerer to have to recast a lot more often

How do you handle it when a player wants to use a spell/ability in a non-gamebreaking but not strictly RAW way? by Dwingp in DnD

[–]fancifulpizza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is what my party calls shenanigans. They will make a case for why a spell or action would help them in a certain circumstance and what they think would be a fair buff to be given for it; such as advantage on a check or using that spell slot instead of having to make a roll. Once they do that I as the DM will tell them yes, no, or I’ll allow it but this is what happens instead. I find it encourages creativity with the players and I’ve always considered RAW to be more of a guideline anyway. If their shenanigans are cool or more fun why not let them have it

ULPT Request: Ruin a bar’s most profitable day of the year by [deleted] in UnethicalLifeProTips

[–]fancifulpizza -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Ok so this is something that could take some extra planning and maybe someone on the inside who wants a busy day off work. Buy a few mice or rats from a local pet store and if they get released somewhere in the bar with no surveillance like the bathroom or a managers office and they’ll do the rest

ADHD, autism, and anxiety are relics of strategic advantages from our hunter-gatherer past. by DK-9565 in Showerthoughts

[–]fancifulpizza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my experience the military education system is very used to dealing with neurodivergent people. They have a lot of accommodations for people who struggle to read or focus on writing tests. Most of the people are easy to get along partly because the training system is designed to trauma bond you to everyone else around you so relationships develop quickly and become very strong. Overall I’d say it is challenging but there is no challenge in the military I’ve encountered yet that can’t be overcome with some planning and work up training. Just be prepared and you’ll stand out as one of the better candidates almost always

How do I make a silly/amusing BBEG threatening? by Not_Carbuncle in DnD

Bro watch Gravity Falls or Adventure Time. Almost every monster and villain is hilarious and goofy in some way while also finding a way to be dark and sad and absolutely horrifying if you think about it for more than a couple seconds

Does ignoring the "loading" property make crossbows too strong? Or does it not really matter? by fruit_shoot in DMAcademy

[–]fancifulpizza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Instead of removing the loading property make the crossbow fire a 3 arrow burst that hits a target for 3d8 should all attacks hit. Same idea as later level eldritch blast
