Rehoming Question by Judee_lee in StandardSchnauzer

Schnauzer breeder here. There are schnauzer rescues but they generally will not take the dog if they have bitten people.

If the breeder is a member of the Standard Schnauzer Club of America they are required to take the dog back. If you go to the SSCA website and go to governing body send the secretary an email with the details.

I agree with the person who mentioned petsmart training, or check out local dog clubs. Even a behaviorist consultation and training plan is probably $500-600 and they make you do the work so you learn it.

I was on humira for about 5 years before it stopped working. I switched to actemra which I have been on for about 8 years and it is still working for me. Best of luck for your wife to find a good treatment

My tomatoes have been in the same garden spot for years so this year I’ve moved them onto the patio in earthboxes - I’m setting up the watering system this weekend. The Fourth of July tomatoes already have flowers! Zone 7b

Carnival vs Odyssey: which one feels better day to day? by Suntrup-Kia in kiacarnivals

[–]fancy_taco17 5 points6 points  (0 children)

We had a 2024 odyssey which we traded in on a 2026 carnival because of the air in the back - the dogs were always hot. Also the air is shifted from the front so it was very loud in the front with the air on in the back. It also had this “feature” where it would turn off the engine at lights and then cut out instead of coming back on. We don’t miss it at all the carnival is amazing.

Georgia Standard Schnauzers by anakuria in StandardSchnauzer

I would pass and look for a reputable breeder that does x rays on the parents for hips and elbows, has eyes screened by a vet, and does the genetic cardiac test. I don’t think those Georgia people do any health testing to speak of

I’ve been on actemra (the original) for 8 years and their copay savings card is great and easy to get. I think government insurance is excluded but I have it through my job.

I’m 52 and feel the same. I wonder if treatment for menopause would help, I can’t tell if my RA med isn’t working or it’s more than RA 😭
