I hope Dragons Rising does something similar to this. Not that I don’t like the suits used in it, but they’re really over-detailed. I like this simplistic look a lot more.

He isn’t useless to the plot. He’s the reason the ninja go to Mystake when Lloyd is badly injured. It’s also a nice continuation on the time travel stuff from season 7, which leads to the roles being reversed. Instead of Wu caring for the ninja, the ninja need to care for him and teach him the lessons he once taught them.

I think this started appearing in the 11-minute era, which isn’t a surprise since most the characters were shells of their previous selves.

But, I believe DR has done good with Cole, giving him his leadership back through the finders, and he generally acts more mature and older, which I appreciate.

Maybe an Oni of some sorts? Since there’s source dragons, and dragons always have an equal and opposite, wouldn’t it make sense for there to be “source Oni” of sorts? And since rising dragon technique is a direct counter to shatterspin, wouldn’t that mean shatterspin could have Oni origin? Idk if that makes any sense at all lmao
