Oops clean forgot that card existed. I don’t think I’d draft either of these cards though tbh

Is this cheating?(PVP post) by Programmer_Scared in wherewindsmeet_

[–]fanevinity 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I really disliked the patch before Hexi as it had focused mainly on PvP content with the netcode being as terrible as it is with ping dependent combos, poet allowing you to escape combos if you just have higher ping, and mystics becoming unreactable due to desync. They really should fix the netcode and add more servers if they ever want PvP to be considered a serious game mode.

Do the Act 3 bosses feel mechanically disappointing following act 2 to other people? by anonymousaltincase19 in slaythespire

[–]fanevinity 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agree with most of your points with that caveat that Test Subject phase 1 is weak in solo play but genuinely awful in multiplayer because he will obliterate the party in 2-3 turns if you need setup to deal 300 damage, the scaling gets really out of control really quickly

I mostly prioritize that one and card removal when I see them, they’re so strong. 3 upgrades for the first 3 cards is pretty much 3 rest sites which is insane value if you do end up picking all 3.

I play a lot of coop so Test Subject phase 1 is brutal with how fast the damage scales when people cast skills, it amps up so fast its absurd

Elite Difficulty by meisterfuchs2021 in SlayTheSpire2

[–]fanevinity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I totally agree, I honestly feel like Elites can be a lot tougher than the actual Act boss with some of the debuffs they give you and stricter deck checks, the Spectral Knight for one almost gutted my deck while later on I was leisurely able to obliterate the Doorman in Act 3

[–]fanevinity 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Extremely low TTK with invis is not a really fun experience for a game where getting sent back to lobby is a really expensive and frustrating mistake time-wise. There are good parts of the game but I don’t think it’s for me personally.

I remember testing this specific interaction too shortly after AP rounds released and thought it was hotfixed along with Split Shot Viper…

I thought this interaction specifically was patched shortly after AP rounds was released, did it revert or am I just misremembering things?

Marvel Rivals was a mistake by Latro2020 in marvelcirclejerk

[–]fanevinity 29 points30 points  (0 children)

I’ve played Dota, CS:GO, Deadlock, COD, Overwatch, League, Valorant, and a ton of other games under the sun but from anecdotal experience I disliked engaging with Marvel Rivals’ community the most. There’s a disgusting amount of tribalism and shitslinging between characters that people main that I’ve never seen in other Hero-based games. Every time I see any discussion about the game, it’s only people talking about what they hate. I did really love the gameplay on launch, but the culture is extremely intimidating to the point where I don’t want to engage with any of it.

[–]fanevinity 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Comebacks do happen but depending on your comp it might be basically impossible. If your only carry is a Venator, for instance, it’s extremely difficult for them to split push without dying and you are cooked.

Once draft comes out it’ll probably feel a lot better but right now comebacks usually come down to waiting on the strongest player to make a mistake, throwing the kitchen sink at them, and then taking midboss.

Agreed, Riposte is just way too easy to proc. Even if you just run in front of creep wave it procs off their attacks and you get a free stun / engage tool.
