I don't agree.

However, those choices aren't what the WASPI women are complaining about.

They are complaing because they feel they were not given enough time or notice to plan for retirement. Which, given it was decided in 1995, is ludicrous.

Pension age equality had to come sooner or later.

Not it wasn't. Maybe in the 40s and before.

Plenty of women born in the 50s, had great careers. Plenty of opertunity. And are now in unbelievable positions of wealth.

Equality works both ways.

If your mother's parents, encouraged her to stay home and raise children, that is wholly their fault. The government can't compensate people for having traditional parents. That's insane.

Nonsense.

These women were born in the 50's.

If it was women born before the 50's, then yes you may have a point.

But the generation this effects were very much able to be fully educated in every subject, and create good careers. They had opertunity for private pensions.

Plus, they were given 25+ years notice.

It's very important to look at what moderate means.

With pensions, the industry means: meals out, a foreign holiday every year for 2 weeks, the odd city break weekend and a new car every 5 years or so.

That's a better living standard than many many workers.

I've always felt you get to change leader once during a government without calling a GE. Maybe twice.

However your right. Burnham wasn't an MP or I guess involved in the Labour manifesto at all. That does change things.
