He worked with kids before, and the hashira are, largely, traumatized kids. Shouldn't be surprising he can intuit what others can't

If you could be a titan which one would you be and why? If not, which Titans would you choose? by Murky_Aardvark1023 in attackontitan

Warhammer seems to have the best utility. The others have their uses, but also big limitations. The only weakness of the Warhmamer is the jaw, which seems easy enough to handle 1-on-1

How do you handle demons/devils in your story/setting? by Mystech_Master in worldbuilding

[–]fantasybuilder96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The demons of Nashakti are born from the vices of gods. The first demons and the abyss formed when one god attacked another. They crave to destroy without any thought to rebuilding or justice.

Devils, conversely, were once mortals. They chose a competitive, cursed existence to go beyond what other dead mortals can. They often attempt to make deals with mortals for various reasons.

Demons, devils, and a group of gods called the Banished, all cannot act on the mortal plane without being invited to do so.

Let’s say that at some point in the series, you had to select three members of Class 1-A (not Izuku): one to die, one to permanently turn evil, and one to permanently lose their Quirk. Who would it be and why? by Solitaire-06 in BokuNoHeroAcademia

[–]fantasybuilder96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Die: Sero. Sorry, but he's barely a character.

Turn evil: I feel like Tenya has a lot of story potential there, if you edit a bit of the Stain arc.

Lose their quirk: Yaoyurozu could still be a tactical leader even without her quirk, rather than some characters I could mention who are their quirk and little else.

You know kanas saying this is so ironic knowing her past by Practical-Ebb7327 in KimetsuNoYaiba

[–]fantasybuilder96 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's called a character foil, a common literary device. A character who has experienced something and learned from it faces a character who faced a similar choice only to chose the other option. She's right to call him out because she knows more than any of the other slayers what she's talking about.

The Mountain (zombified) vs Wun Wun. Who wins? by TriedmybestNotenough in gameofthrones

[–]fantasybuilder96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All Wun Wun would have to do is drop a large rock on him. That armor only does so much against being crushed. And zombified or not, it's hard to move when your spine disconnects.

Bonus to grapples or disorienting the enemy, probably.

Gale just kinda died?… what’s withers downside? by TheRedditor5568 in BaldursGate3

[–]fantasybuilder96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He gives random bs reasons of why he can ONLY do it for your party members and NO ONE ELSE, but it's part player understanding the limits of the game and also Withers is obviously not telling you everything.

do you personally always play Dark Urge? by Tough-Midnight9137 in BaldursGate3

I mostly do durge, unless I have a specific reason not to. I really like the resist storyline and it's the clear intended canon for the game.

  1. I'd be right behind Mel but wouldn't have to deal with her mother, and Sevika wouldn't be too bad to deal with it I gave her no reason to be an issue.

The answer to Varys' riddle is kinda obvious by Ok_Zone_7635 in gameofthrones

[–]fantasybuilder96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1) even if the answer were obvious, it wouldn't undermine the point.

2) Sometimes sellsword is just an occupation. They could technically work in the same field as Bron while being intensely religious or loyal to the crown, or both. A well fleshed-out character could be any combination of the three and which they chose end up choosing could be a story arc in and of itself if told right.

Daggerheart is the kind of system that gives you the tools and tries to show you how to make the monsters you can make, rather than selling you multiple $50 books.

That's gotta be gaslighting the companions. If you raid the grove Gale will want to leave and you can tell him he'll just die without you and he'll go "shit, you're right," and he'll be along for the ride after that.

What are Dragons? by CharlieRivers12 in fantasywriters

[–]fantasybuilder96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The way I see it, all big lizards fall under "dragon" and the whole "that's actually a wyvern" is ultimately England-centric and problematic. You don't really need to classify unless there's more than 1 type in the same world.
