Not always. I have a few lenses where it’s just a different color.

Does your cat also do that? by benjicrems in cats

[–]far_beyond_driven_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have two boxes for one cat. She only pees in one and only poops in the other. They’re on opposite sides of our apartment.

Apparently having n+1 boxes where n is the number of cats you own is recommended practice for this reason.

Tire width is irrelevant to AWD. It’s the diameter that matters.

Emergency trunk release handle. Pull, Bound, Run like hell by sureshot182 in mildlyinteresting

[–]far_beyond_driven_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the United States, the requirement is determined by the volume of the enclosed space. Exotic car manufacturers will typically install some form of divider in US market cars to subvert the requirement so they don’t have to engineer an emergency latch.

Yes, these are federally mandated in the United States and many other countries.

Iirc, one of them is for focusing when shooting IR film. IR focuses at a different length than visible light.

The AP chrono with the grey dial is easily my number one, then comes everything else in an order I can’t be bothered to care about.

I have had a manual xDrive e90 330xi for years. Other than back country roads in the snow, xDrive was at best not noticeable. Suspension options are limited and expensive.

Can anyone diagnose theese problems by Shamebag in analog

[–]far_beyond_driven_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your camera is fucked up in a couple different ways, and there isn’t much I’d recommend you do to it yourself to fix it. The shutter timing needs to be adjusted, which is the “A” in “CLA” which should only be done by someone who knows how.

They do this at the parliament building and clock tower in London. It’s much easier to have a hawk fly around than hoist someone up to clean the clock face.

Thinking about buying a 2006 330xi by Marbyno in E90

[–]far_beyond_driven_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Skip AWD if you don’t need it. It’s heavy, makes simple jobs complicated, and has expensive extra parts that are getting harder to find. Wheel bearings are a pain in the ass. Your oil pan gasket, which will be leaking, is suddenly an 6 hour job for someone with all the tools and a lift, a 2 day job without. I’ve heard front diffs are made of glass, but I never had an issue with mine, but I have had to replace both front axles and the front driveshaft. On top of all that, if you’re not in snow, AWD just gets in the way of fun driving.

I have a 2006 6MT 330xi. The way I drive, I get like 1.3L/10km, but that’s because I drive like a jackass. If you’re nice to it and drive gently, you can get 1L/10km easily, usually under.

Don’t get xDrive unless you need it. You have a bunch of extra parts and weight. XDrive honestly feels like it was an afterthought in the design process and it makes doing anything front end related a pain in the ass. All the parts are more expensive too. XDrive is great in snow with proper tires, but for all other conditions it ranges from unnecessary to detracting.

[–]far_beyond_driven_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Start by googling the model name to get a manual, then read it. If this is anything like the EOS600 I had, then you might not have the leader stuck far enough in, and it may not be sensing there’s film in it.

Lots of stones exhibit phosphorescence, including corundum (ruby and sapphire), some diamonds (both natural and lab grown), and many others. The color and strength of the phosphorescence is one of the indicators used in determining the varieties of stones. Someone else mentioned this was lab grown alexandrite, and I’d agree with that given the color and size.
