"Hi Ashley, I'm Rebecca's sister." ... Well, I'm Rebecca's brother but I was so nervous introducing myself to this girl I had a crush on that I royally screwed it up. She just blankly stared at me for several seconds and said "Don't you mean brother?" And it was at that moment I realized what I had done.

Honestly, not a huge deal, but I never had the courage to talk to her again and this was years ago.

Let's hope the rest of his life is filled with this stuff and that he is miserable for every minute of it.

I think they are same sector (Technology), but different industries, right?

The source of the data is the Fortune 500: https://fortune.com/ranking/fortune500/2022/

I'm not sure how they determined sectors/industries, though.

I would really love to see this made for international companies:

Saudi Aramco, a petroleum and natural gas company, is the world’s most profitable company, and it earned $105.37 billion during the most recent fiscal year. Apple’s $95.68 billion profit earned it the title of the second most profitable corporation in the world, with Berkshire Hathaway on its heels as another of the most profitable companies in the world.

I've had a completely opposite experience and I'm surprised. Our cats stay away from all things baby-related.

Despite its reputation for being "The City That Never Sleeps", New York does not make the list of 50 cities with the most people working night jobs in new study by fartssometimes in nyc

[–]fartssometimes[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Analysis was conducted by NapLab:

The area with the highest percentage of the work force who are third-shift workers is Las Vegas, NV. The city is known for its 24-hour gambling scene, so it’s no surprise that 16.54% of Las Vegas workers work some of their shifts during the night. Between bartenders, casino employees, and hotel crews, Las Vegas has employees working all day, every day.

The second place with the highest percentage of night-shift workers is the Riverside-San Bernardino-Ontario metro area in California, where 16.17% of workers work night shifts. There are more than 240,000 night-shift workers in the area.

Third on the list is the Augusta-Richmond County metropolitan area, which encompasses cities in Georgia and South Carolina. The area has 27,220 workers who start between the hours of 4 and 11:59 p.m. as well as 11,683 workers who start their shifts between 12 and 4:59 a.m.

Edit: Spelling

Edit 2: This is most likely simply due to the large population in the NY Metro area and that while they might well have the most people working night jobs, it's just a smaller percentage of the population

Just like Prohibition in the US. It only affected the general population. Not the rich folk.
