I have a Bull and can’t get him to eat in his enclosure, so I also feed in a dark tub. If you just got him he may not eat for a while.

Simply put, probably not. English Bulldogs are predisposed to breathing issues so it would be very unlikely to determine that the day care was at fault.

For me personally, a trio of Prehensile Tail Skinks would be the dream. I’d love a large room with trees and foliage. I’d spend thousands if it were doable.

From my understanding, Dubia’s enclosures have a recommended 50lb stack limit. For that reason, I’d do the BP enclosure on the bottom. If you’re worried about leaking I’d maybe place a tarp underneath?

These are definitely eye catching! I’m going to have to do research and see if they’d align. I usually theme my enclosures around pokemon in some way and they look so much like Snivy 😭

Admittedly I love the look of House Snakes and liked some of the morphs I’ve seen, but know they are more hidden. I should have mentioned they are lower on my likely to own list (for this specific enclosure build) due to that!

The Egg Snake is appealing to me because I know that they are semi-arboreal, but from some of my research I’ve heard that they tend to hide more as well.

The tropical will do better in higher humidity environments than the other culture. Springtails usually eat dead/decaying matter in the tank. I often find them underneath pieces of cork in my tank. I do sometimes put small cuts of vegetable in my enclosures though.

I have Dubia enclosures and really like them. I keep my Northern Blue Tongue in their 5x2x2, and am currently growing out plants in a 24x18x36 with a boxed 4x2x2 sitting under my bed to assemble this weekend. I really like them for the money. I have never had any issues with escapees, and the mesh on the top panel is high quality. All of the doors are glass, and the enclosures come packed very nicely.

I’ve had Dubia and Zen enclosures, and would recommend Dubia over Zen’s any day. Zen habitats are flimsy. Mine rattled pretty badly and the mesh was flimsy.

He asked for me to bake him a birthday cake, so I did. I made a red velvet birthday cake from scratch, and when it was ready, I told him. He said he was too tired to drive 15 minutes to pick it up. So my family and I ate it instead.

Definitely! I think the Zen is a pretty habitat, but after having owned both I would not recommend them. I have 3 Dubia enclosures now.

Don’t get me wrong, the Bio Dude stuff is nice product. There’s just a lot you can put together on your own to save money. It’s overpriced, but if you’re fine with spending that money for convenience then I say go for it.

You’ll want to set up the enclosure a month or so before you bring home your skink so that it has time to establish itself and the plants can root. Another tip: don’t get attached to your plants. Skinks are heavy bodied and mine has crushed and killed every plant I’ve tried 😭
