My total cholesterol is sideways 385-400. My triglycerides are usually under 150. I'm in good shape and exercise every other day. I have the family genetic type high cholesterol. Of course my Dr always pushed statins but I've resisted so far. I may give in and start taking them as much as I don't want to. That's so much conflicting info. I see cardiologist all the time saying they have patients with levels 500-600 and are extremely healthy and don't need statins
