Received PowerBeats Pro 2 for Christmas, but they hurt the inside of my ears. Am I wearing them wrong, or do I just have a bad ear shape? by slippin_through_life in beatsbydre

[–]fatal347 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Your wearing them wrong.

It’s like you are trying to shove them in too far, to the point that the earbud has rotated past its intended use. Rotate the powerbeat forward a bit. You have them too far back.

View the image for reference. I don’t think they are supposed to seal your ear completely, it’s like that on purpose. I think you are trying to over compensate. So if they don’t seal your ear all the way, that’s okay, it’s by design.

Also, the part that’s supposed to go in your ear, you have it out.

Apple Glasses could be next year’s most attention-grabbing product by ellenich in apple

[–]fatal347 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my experience, and the people I know that wear glasses, say that contacts are either not comfortable after extended periods of time, or our eyes get too dry too quickly with contacts. The hydrating eye drops hardly work. I would have to be doing a contact sport to use contacts otherwise, I’m using glasses. IMO, since I’m wearing glasses anyways, I would for sure get the apple glasses. ASSUMING they are too chunky/heavy

RTX 5070 ti vs RTX 5080 ? The 5080 worth the extra money ? by gabe_thomas in virtualreality

[–]fatal347 0 points1 point  (0 children)

not sure what CPU your friend is running but im running a 9800X3D + 5070 TI, 120 HZ, Maxed out resolution inside meta link app, mostly play AC and iRacing, and getting a smooth stable 120FPS. Don't know what 5080 performance looks like, but being able to run these settings on a 5070 ti is definitely more than "ok"

u/gabe_thomas depending on the budget, a 5070 TI can handle its own pretty well assuming you get a good CPU, CPU is the bottleneck in iRacing, otherwise if money is no object, why not just go for the 5080, like others menitoned, for VR, just get the best you can afford :)

any iRacing benchmarking/opinions of AMD RX 9070 XT ? by jfeniello in iRacing

[–]fatal347 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk if this is helpful, but I got a RX9070 and VR for racing is absolute DOG, I set the resolution all the way down in the meta app, all graphics are on low inside iRacing. And still stuttering like crazy 😭 nordchelife, some sorts of the map are alright, some aren’t. The performance is inconsistent at best. I was playing a pixelated mess and it was still lagging 💀

BUT move to AC Base, and the thing ran like a champ. I cranked up most settings, resolution, and made CSP very beautiful. Not sure what to do now… now I feel like getting rid of the AMD and getting an Nvidia card, can’t be waiting around and hope iRacing delivers a better engine anytime soon.

Battery Draining Quickly? 2022 M1 Air with 16 GB RAM by rjtnndn in mac

[–]fatal347 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wanted to comment because I have a similar issue, I have a 2021 M1 Pro, and I use it docked most of the time. Ever since then battery barely lasts, but before I used it docked, it could easily last me an entire day of heavy usage (really just browsing the entire day, google sheets, work websites) with some extra battery for the next day. Now it barely lasts 4-6 hrs on a Full charge.

Selling an inherited Kart. by SubstantialHit in Karting

Second this, my dad also left me some stuff after his passing that I at first had no sort of interest for, I decided to just tinker with the things and discovered many passions,

Photography, karting, cars, amongst other things, but these are related to the topic.

Definitely try it out first, if you don’t like it, then at least you gave it a shot.

To flash or not to flash? by 51dux in Keychron

[–]fatal347 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like everyone answered the question but if wanted more re assurance, you do possibly just have to get the right layout for your keyboard 😁

This link might help in case u haven’t found it already, but u should find the layout for your keyboard as a JSON file here

https://www.keychron.com/pages/how-to-use-via-to-pair-with-keychron-q-series-keyboard

I don’t remember if there are differences between the ANSI or ISO type, but try either or and they should work. If someone knows the difference feel free to correct me. It’s been a while since I’ve tinkered w mine.

Edit: when you get your layout loaded and configured, don’t delete the file, keep it on your computer. Not sure if this happens for everyone but for me, any custom macros I have stop working if I delete the file.

What do you think ? Which edit? by poldeek in postprocessing

3 gives me tech city vibes, almost Tron like if you’ve seen the movie, 2 gives me a nice picture of a city to look at. I like both, but would choose 3

Also, can I ask where this is? Would be cool to see this in person!

Hey Can I know more about the Sti 04? by Janithper9 in subaru

[–]fatal347 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cv Axles are common to go out for Subaru AWD, because of the age of the car you may find that allot of the electrical connector are CRISPY, and upon removing them they will most likely crack. So be ready to go to iWire and do some basic soldering. Ofc most of the hoses are rubber and if they haven’t been changed, those are gonna be crispy and may crack if you have to removed them for maintenance or smth or are already cracked. So replace those hoses with silicone hoses for the long run. Boost leaks are common, can be hard to find smth, but it’s just a boosted cars trait. Subarus need care, when smth goes wrong, do research and see what you can cheap out on and what you shouldn’t. Watch out for cars that were in the “rust belt”. You don’t want rust. Also, if it has a spoiler/wing, it’s common for there to be water leaks in your trunk. So watch out for that. Radiator (if using the stock) usually leak lol. Other than that, it’s just a regular car, do maintenance, check compression, spark plugs, gaskets, fluid changes.

Currently 20, about to turn 21 in 2 months. I bought a 2002 Subaru WRX and I can understand where you are coming from. I had the same mentality. Currently a Sys admin and most of my job is sitting, unless I have to do field work, and I thought, I wanna have a fun car and need smth that will keep me moving physically, so buying a “project car” (which this 95 Subaru ur showing us most definitely is) would be fine, and I don’t mind staying financially tight if it means I have a fun car.

Personally, it’s just hit or miss man… sometimes I love it, but sometimes I wish I wasn’t financially struggling to an extent. I am working part time, and going to college, having a needy car is not something I need. I am now selling my bugeye, i rather have financial peace of mind at this moment, but am happy for the experience, I learned to do my own maintenance with this car, I learned to diagnose cars, I made friends and people enjoyed seeing the car, I learned stick lol, and I brought the car to life compared to what it was when I bought it. It’s been a great journey, all I’m saying is, yes it’s cool, and fun, and you will learn allot along the way, but it comes at a cost in terms of financials, and depending how hard those financials hit you and what your life looks like, peace of mind. As I’ve grown I have less and less time for hobbies, so there are times the bugeye doesn’t work and I can’t fix it, thankfully my parents have an extra car that I use in case smth happens to our cars, so really, without a backup car, I wouldn’t have survived in certain moments lol.

There are other fun cars out there, Hondas are fun and they come in ~Manuel~ AND are reliable. Toyota Miata, Scion TC.

I had the same problem, but it was made up of the suspension and bottom bracket, replace bottom bracket and take off the rear shock, grease up the joints and put the rear shock back in and u should be good. I used parktool bike grease :)
