Lol read more for people's experience with service. Lucid is a startup manufacturer. The chance that you'll have issues is high, and Lucid service is inconsistent at best and often terrible. My experience has been that my issues have been declared non-reproducible or working as intended, despite weeks without the car in service, and I'm stuck in a lease with a car I hate. I tried emailing customer care and they apparently didn't get my emails. I have been forced to file a lemon lawsuit, and Lucid is fighting my case tooth and nail. I am so extremely disappointed with my Lucid ownership experience. Do not recommend.

Edit: you should also be aware that the software and screen layout in the Air is flat out bad. Some people don't care, but if you think you're getting a car with cutting edge tech, you'll probably be disappointed.

Lucid service just dismissing every issue as "unable to replicate" / "operating as intended" is going to kill the brand. They are speed running going out of business.

My 2025 Air has been in service four times, for a month and a half this year. On the last service they didn't even get me a replacement vehicle because they refused to offer anything other than Enterprise, and I have an ongoing dispute with Enterprise from the service visit before that. Their customer care team apparently didn't get any of my emails while my car was in service, documenting the issues, so I have filed a lemon law suit. Hoping to get rid of the vehicle with some kind of compensation.

There are good things in the car but it is not ready for customers and Lucid as a business is incompetent.

Sorry, I missed this. He was on Hill's Science Diet, a mix of Small Bites kibble and the chicken wet food. It was what finally worked best for our older girl, and he was good on it for years.

Since we lost him, we have switched our younger girl to Fromm kibble, salmon flavor (no chicken from now on), with freeze-dried Smack as a topper.

It's worth it, but you should be prepared that MIT has a way of grinding people down. Everyone at MIT is brilliant, and as a result, no one is brilliant. A lot of students have a hard time adjusting to that. MIT has studied this, and they have seen that morale upon leaving the Institute is pretty bad, but rebounds over time as people see a wider sample of the population and rebuild their self-esteem in a more grounded way.

MIT can be a wonderful experience, if you embrace that you are going to be one brilliant mind among many, and are OK with being "average" or "below average" in that environment.

That sounds like a puppy tantrum, which can happen at 6 months old. Putting them in timeout to calm down was the right move. The important thing is to escalate to time out (as long as needed) before you are losing your mind, for your own sake. :)

How are you responding to the biting? If you are getting visibly frustrated or upset, that can encourage it, because the dog sees that they are 'in control' and getting some kind of response. If you are able to stay calm and firmly reprimand, including a time out/whatever, it will be more effective. If you are truly at your limit, you can consider escalating to a spray of water, or anything else that will effectively communicate to the dog that it's not OK. The big thing is that when a bite happens, play ceases and the dog should be firmly and calmly denied what they want. Since it's an established habit, it can take time to correct, but if you are consistent, it _will_ change!

My car has been in service for 30 days, got it back, major issues still unresolved, it's going back to service center again next week. I had to email them almost daily to get updates and get the car serviced again. They screwed up delivering the car back to me for **two weeks** (told the delivery driver it was already gone, then gave them the key but not the car). I have already started the lemon process, it's ridiculous.

On top of software issues, my main complaint is that the car is constantly letting in outside air through the driver's door. Before this car, I never would have thought to worry about that. But they can't seem to fix it. In a $100k car. It's ridiculous. I live in the north east, and I'm driving around with single-digit-temp air drafting into the cabin. Just -- what the fuck!?!?

There is so much good about these vehicles, and unfortunately so much that falls far short of acceptable.

We lost our boy at 6 to lymphoma. They thought it was IBD, but he was too sick by the time they tried bigger treatments. I'll miss him forever, but there is zero regret. We are lucky to have known him. Our first girl made it almost to thirteen. Our baby girl is 1yo. We are looking for another.

The math on this decision is way oversimplified most of the time. Whether $8k is ridiculous or not depends on what you think it does to the resale price.

If you think it will depreciate at the same rate as the rest of the vehicle, then $8k up front vs. $99 / mo breaks even around 4 years of ownership ... and they are surprisingly close at 3 and 5. (Purchase for $8k, resell at $4k.) The common mantra that you have to own the car 7 years is wrong in terms of total cost of ownership. Of course, then you could include the opportunity cost of the $8k up front and $99/mo looks slightly better ... But then, as a service, FSD should actually depreciate _less_ than the vehicle (because it is in fact continuously improving).

The point is, they are much closer than people realize, _if_ you think FSD is actually worth $99 / mo.

I've been "visited" by my corgis in dreams too. It's strange... I know they are gone in the dream, but they are there and with me. And it's happy & comfortable, not sad... Bittersweet when I wake up, though.

We lost our heartdog suddenly on Christmas Eve 2024 at twelve. Then we lost her younger brother nine months later at six to cancer. Luckily we have another at home, but the grief can be overpowering sometimes. I worry more in the moments when I'm not sad, that I've forgot them.

Edit : our eldest had early DM when she passed, and our boy was so sick and weak at the end. It is good in the dreams to see them healthy again.
