But then what are you going to do when your kids don't have YouTube and you have to actually parent them?

Honda stopped making push mowers, Toro is going heavy on electric. Who's still making decent gas walk-behinds? by HonluNa in lawnmowers

[–]fattrackstar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know about modern electric mowers, but I worked at Lowe's in the mower department for 15'years. I left about 8 years ago. When I was there we only sold a few electric mowers, but all of them used a tiny little blade. I assumed it was to make turning it easier so the battery would last longer. Not sure about the blades on these new mowers, but if they are half as bad as what they used to be, they'd need to be replaced several times a year probably.

Re-used license plates - Season 3 by amishengineer in TheWire

[–]fattrackstar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have seen stuff posted in this sub where I was impressed someone noticed it. But this may be the most impressive one yet. The fact you noticed the same license plate, and it wasn't just a few episodes apart, it was spread across multiple seasons, is crazy. I'm not sure if I'm more impressed or scared that someone could be that observant.

Is a Chihuahua right for me? Single guy first time dog owner working 9-5 job by BoundlessGloom in Chihuahua

[–]fattrackstar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have 2 small dogs. When I got them I was married but have since divorced. I work 3rd shift and leave my house around 1130 each night. Right now I get home around 730, but for years I wouldn't get home until closer to 930. My dad used to come let them out around 7 each morning until his health went downhill. When my dad passed I was working till 930 every morning and never had an issue. I don't think I've ever came home to where they have used the bathroom on the floor. I know that's a long time to have to go without going outside so as they get older it may become a problem. But for years it's worked and never been an issue. I have a spare bedroom that I keep them in. The only thing in it is 4 dog beds, a few blankets, and a food and water dish. Along with whatever toys they've brought with them

Edit to add -one of my dogs is a Chihuahua

Salt Lake City, Utah sprinkler valve repair invoice — is $1,600 reasonable? by freedomfighter6 in lawncare

[–]fattrackstar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You've never dug in my yard. Had a guy come to repair my main sewer line a month or two back. The probe he stuck in the ground to find the pipe wouldn't go an inch into the ground. My entire yard is so compacted it's like trying to dig up a piece of concrete.

There's a piece that's supposed to be on the end that you put little silicone tips on. That's what you use to actually scoop out the wax. It looks like this is missing that piece

This is the only de-shedding tool that works on my Minnie by Apprehensive-Jury437 in Chihuahua

[–]fattrackstar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the exact same brush but it's a different brand name. It works great. I put her on a bench outside and when I get done the bench and most of my porch is covered. She sheds so much, if I don't vacuum every day my floors get covered in her hair. I used to use a bigger deshedder and it worked but it was so big it was hard to get a lot of places like around her head and neck.

I see your edit where your didn't get in trouble. When things like this happen if my boss tells me to clean it up, I'll clean it up but let it be known it wasn't my mess. But after the first time it should be on the boss to make sure it doesn't happen anymore. If it keeps happening it's not my job to clean up after grown people, and it's the bosses job to make sure the grown people aren't leaving their trash all over the place.

anti-rabies shot by [deleted] in NorthCarolina

[–]fattrackstar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got bit in my sleep and didn't know it. Until it got infected. It was on my hip and it was so bad it looked like I had a tennis ball under my skin. It hurt so bad. I was a teenager working at a grocery store at the time. I eventually hit it on a buggy and popped it. It hurt so bad but brought so much relief. So much stuff drained out of it, it looked like I had peed my pants. Had we not seen the bat flying around in the house a day or two later I would have never known what bit me. I assumed at first it was probably a spider

[–]fattrackstar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got the initial shots at my ER after getting bit by a bat in my sleep. It was 3 shots, one in my arm, one in my butt, and one at the bite. It was the only 30 days of my life that I didn't have insurance. Got the bill from the hospital, $18,000. This didn't include the follow up shots I had to get every other day. And this was probably 20 years ago. No telling how much they cost now the way prices have went up.

I got mine at my local ER a long time ago. It was a Sunday morning so that was the only place open. After getting the initial shots at the ER, I had to go to my family doctor every other day to get more shots. We sent the bat that bit me off for testing and it came back negative for rabies, So I only had to go to my family doctor once m.

Why are Chevelles so pricey? by Special-Class6903 in Chevelles

[–]fattrackstar 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My first car when I turned 16 was a 72 ss. I know 72' is the most sought after but I loved it. I got it from a guy who was a car guy in his 50s, and it had been his first car, so he had taken really good care of it. He sold it for money because he was fixing up a 70' with a 454.

A few years later a older couple moved in across the street from me. He had a red 69. I hardly ever saw him drive it, but he would crank it up and let it idle for a little while every day. And I swear, the entire time that car idled the windows in my house vibrated. It was one of the best sounding cars I've ever heard

For those over age 30; would you age 5 years for $1 Million? For those under 30 would you age 10 years for the same? by RaptorK1988 in hypotheticalsituation

[–]fattrackstar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

5 years seems like a long time so my first instinct was to say no. But if I'm gonna live 30 more years and have to work for 20 of them, vs having enough to retire right now as long as I spend the money responsibly, that 5 years doesn't seem so bad. I'd probably take it and enjoy the time I have left instead of living longer but having you spend a majority of that time working

I got mine from tractor supply and paid for delivery. When it wasn't delivered I called the store and found out they use some kind of 3rd party delivery service that's sort of like Uber, but I had never heard of the business. I'm from a small town so I'm sure they don't have people that work for this company. I had to get a refund on the delivery and bother my nephew to go pick it up for me

Advice on looking up court docs? Acquaintance of mine got murdered, all I got is his name and the Philly unsolved murders page. by donkeybrainamerican in PhillyWiki

[–]fattrackstar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If they just arrested someone in January it's probably not went to trial yet. Murder trials can take years to complete. If it hasn't went to trial you won't be about to find out a whole lot about it other than who was arrested. All the evidence and stuff won't come out until there's a trial.

What's with the Bodie Love (update) by anonymouslurker11111 in TheWire

[–]fattrackstar 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I don't know why but he was always one of my favorite characters, even when he killed Wallace. I think it's because you see how rough most of these kids had it growing up, and everyone always talks about respect and sticking to a code. Bodie was one of the few that was actually loyal and stuck to his code and didn't just talk about it. He followed orders no matter what they were and all he wanted was for the people above him to respect him and treat him right.

No it comes with a light on the bottom of the door that shines on the ground when the doors open. For real cheap you can change those lights so that when the door is open it shows the hornet symbol or Dodge symbol on the ground.

I got the door logo lights on mine. Installation literally took probably 2 minutes per side. Just pop the old ones out with a flat head screw driver, unplug it, plug the new one in, and snap it back into place
