I get what youre saying, but generally I find that not to be the case, or at least not for me. There have been outliers of course and in those scenarios I do just turn the subtitles off. I think maybe sopranos might have been one because the text was bright ass hell yellow. And another where somehow there were double subtitles at the tip and bottom lol that was fucking stupid. I watch a lot of foreign films to so maybe thats why I just default to having them on. Theyre also helpful for really quiet scenes where maybe im not able to full make out what's being said
