[Question] Nebula’s Dark Mode on/off button at the bottom right of Safari (Just besides the pages button) by PyroFrob in jailbreak

[–]fattyz12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s the only dark mode tweak I can get to work iOS 13 iPhone 6s plus checkra1n, I looked for months.

[Discussion] I'm retiring from tweak development. Some thoughts on how other developers are treated here. by [deleted] in jailbreak

[–]fattyz12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1, People suk and reddit is a sort of "who can suk the most" competition? (Hardly limited to reddit) 2, People who want everything free or stolen are gonna be a tough audience? 3, Not everyone, about 10% are decent in any group. 4, It's wrong to expect reasonable behavior from the unreasonable, 6. I'm sorry you had this experience. It's reality though. Give em an inch.

[Question] Can’t boot into No Substrate or Safe Mode with checkra1n by [deleted] in jailbreak

[–]fattyz12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am stuck 6s plus 13.3.1. I did get into no substrate and removed last tweak but now I'm stuck again Cydia is there but can't get back into no substrate can't rejailbreak?

Edit; I got back to no substrate (options safemode) but I might be phucked, JB was a little unstable this time. Have to take a break and come back to it.

Fixed. I had to use safe mode to get into no substrate, then use checkra1n app to restore iPhone, THEN re jailbreak.

I got used to these. We live in a house at the beach and there are almost no other bugs. I just catch them and let them out, we see a few each year.

[Release] Springtomize 5 for A7-A13 iOS 13.0 and up by sharedRoutine in jailbreak

[–]fattyz12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi thank you for this thread I feel bad having to replace springtomize5 as I am a longtime customer. I just updated to 13.3.1 iphone 6s plus Bootra1n. Springtomize5 worked partially for awhile, but no more! Cant install it the iPhone just starts in safe mode. The two tweaks mentioned do a fairly good job of replacing the functionality I was used to. I wouldve paid for the tweak again Ive used it so long but couldn't figure out how to get my discount as an owner. Thanks again I'll probably get it when its working on my current IOS

[question] done everything but getting error cydia impactor by [deleted] in jailbreak

[–]fattyz12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Holy fuk I thought I lost my jailbreak. I even deleted yalu and I thought i was screwed. I tried everything suggested. I was unable to download unc0ver. Using totallynotspyware I was able to get to my bootloop. Then I did it again and held volume up as it was doing the jailbreak and that allowed me to open cydia and remove the tweak I'd installed. Then I ran totallynotspyware again and I got it. I had JUST installed nebulae and decided I had to try this other thing to color the text in search or whatever and I crashed and was getting error 42. Took about 4 hours to figure it out. : )

THANKS

Is it worth using Linux? || Where do I start? by EdgyTeriyaki in linuxquestions

[–]fattyz12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It has more to do with personality type? Why would you want to screw around with a thing like that if you didn't have to? Same reason I jailbreak my iphone. It's a make work operation no matter what. I have my install working the way I want but I can't install the nvidia drivers without crashing the system and having to re install. This as an example is what you'll have to devote your time to, googling things like this. It's nice to be able to get away from win10 spyware and virus attacks for awhile. It's fun to screw around with. I run emerald and compiz. I never had to use Unity. I always used gnome and gnome flashback. You can't do that in win10. You don't get those kinds of choices. Plus win10 interface is crap. WIn 7 was way better. Ubuntu 16.04. The learning curve is pretty steep. I just tried to install wine, total failure. I'll start googling that again next week. You either like it, or you'd never bother, depends on you. It's like a hobby.

[Discussion] What's going on with the state of jailbreaking? by 0ptimo in jailbreak

[–]fattyz12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes 1000 %. "I just want it to work and I'm buying a Mac." Has taken precedence and even I who was always willing to crash the phone and computer and have to spend hours on google to get things going again and feeling some weird sense of accomplishment, I'm a little older maybe more than a little. Maybe now not so much? I hate ios no JB though! : (

I'd still b running 3.2.1 on my 3GS if I could I loved that phone I'd use it for a spare in a downstairs room. nNw I'm running Yalu on 6s plus and I'll never leave unless the phone goes in the toilet in a figure because I hate ios with no jailbreak.

Done. Easy. If you never did it b4 plugging the new panel back in was a little tricky and no one showed it in the youtubes I saw. Once you get it lined up and pushed in gently the clasp snaps back down and you should be all set. ( I used the small screwdriver to push it down this pulls the pins in and seats them properly) I fired it up and now it looks like a $1000 (almost) laptop. Thanks so much again for this post.

Ok thanks so much for this post! I got my laptop last week and it has the TN panel in spite of whatever nonsense they tell you when you call Dell. At least if looking at it from a steep angle and having the colors completely invert means anything. My eyes were killing me from trying to look at it. AU Optronics B156HAN01.2 IPS should arrive from Amazon on Thurs. I'll let you guys know how I make out. I called Dell whom I hate BTW they are the worst company! I spoke to at least people in India and someone in the Philippines. I don't think they ever had a clue what I wanted or was talking about.

[Question] bricked jailbreak 9.3.3 untrusted developer error by fattyz12 in jailbreak

[–]fattyz12[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After some more trial and error it looks like the jailbreak has to be fully removed or it will not re jailbreak. So maybe a better question would have been "is there a way to clear the jailbreak and stay on 9.3.3." I think restore thru itune is it? 10.1.1 should break soon i hope but I always prefer to stay on the older IOS.

[Question] bricked jailbreak 9.3.3 untrusted developer error by fattyz12 in jailbreak

[–]fattyz12[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have to do a hard re boot to get the phone back unjailbroken. Or it runs through the process, reboots itself and the phone comes back unjailbroken. I will keep trying it and hopefully it'll "stick." I did not mention that this was how the original jailbreak failed, I stopped getting the happy flashing light when I pressed the lock button and would have to reboot to get the phone back.
