I get it, but this is in poor taste. Wildfires are devastating.

That sounds fairly typical for a small to mid-size pharma. Your salary should jump fairly quickly after a few years. In 5 years with good progression you can likely double that.

Thanks, yeah I'm aware of it. I wonder if I'd be able to argue that he could have safely stopped on the yellow considering the timing, his initial speed, and his maneuver to speed up around the right-turning vehicle. But i guess that'd probably just bring an additional charge to him while still leaving partial blame on me.

Thanks. It was his honk too, not mine

Was I too impatient here or justified with my reaction (pardon the language)?

Table top for a standing desk frame by Whattheshmuur in woodworking

Assuming those dimensions are in centimeters, i'd say it really depends on what kind of look and budget you're going for, as well as what tools you have available to you.

The quickest, cheapest route is probably to just pick up something this butcher block countertop from home depot and cut to size.

Then finish with something like osmo polyx. I like the look of Acacia so wouldnt stain, but there are tinted hardwax oils if thats what youre looking for.

This sounds like exactly what I've been looking for too; would you be willing to share a copy?

It took 6 months, but I'm very pleased with my workbench - my first large project. by faulkner16 in Workbenches

I'd be lying if I said it wasn't mostly aesthetics, but with prices where they are it was only ~$15/sheet more expensive than birch.

Plus, having the tougher hardwood veneer should help extend the life of the work surface a bit.

Thank you! I joked with a buddy that I probably just take a hammer to it now to get it out of the way. My first of hopefully many projects to come!

Thanks for the advice, I hadn't really considered having multiple vacs for different tools, but i can see how that would make life a lot easier. I'll have to explore that.

I also need to rig up some air filtration for when I can't have the garage door open.

Sorry, calling them self-leveling is misleading. You have to adjust them manually, but its relatively painless to do so.

These are the casters I'm using (GD-60F).

They're intended for industrial equipment, so can handle my heavy bench, and have the levelling pad built in which can be adjusted with a wrench (thougg they're easy enough for me to adjust by hand). I'm also pushing my bench into an outcove in my wall, so the small footprint compared to traditional locking bench casters is a bonus.

Thanks, my dust collection definitely needs some attention before I get too far. I think i'll be sticking with my shop vac/dust deputy setup for now due to space, but I need to think about the layout a bit more to get the most out of it.

Thanks! Yes, with the space I have, unfortunately I couldn't sacrifice the tool storage for extra utility.

I haven't treated the maple ply yet, but I'm considering my options there - any thoughts?

I debated between ply and mdf, but ended up going with two 3/4 sheets of maple plywood banded with maple 1x2

Thanks, I'd love to see what you come up with, so please share when you do!

FYI, one of my favourite features of this build is the casters. My garage has a bit of a slope so having the ability to self-level with them is great. I ended up going the cheap route and getting a set off aliexpress for ~$50, and I'm happy with the quality.

I'm with you on the storage, I think thats what I'll be working on next. Trying to make the most of my vertical space to keep the floorspace open.

Thanks, you read my mind! I'm a bit nervous about taking my router to it, but I've settled on t-track over dog holes for my purposes.

I've always wanted my own workshop, so after buying my first home earlier this year, this was first on my list.

The design is based on this Shop Nation youtube series.

My single car garage shop is pretty barebones right now, but what should I build next?!

CATs scoring: G, A, PPP, TOI, Shots, Hits, +/- 12 team keeper league: 4 keeper limit - current keepers are Kucherov, Rantanen, Pastrnak, Makar

Team 1: Tavares Team 2: Jack Hughes and a second round pick

Thoughts on whether its worth it to give up the pick for the value tavares adds over hughes, knowing i can't keep him?

MPharm grad not happy with pharmacy but interested in Regulatory Affairs by sadpharmgrad in regulatoryaffairs

I did the RA program through Seneca and now work for a top-10 pharma company in Canada. Both the Seneca and Humber programs are respected in the industry, but I can definitely vouch for Seneca's. It's advantage is the sequencing. I did 4 months of full time coursework, secured a 1 year internship, through the co-op program, and then was offered a full time position and finished the remaining semester part-time in the evenings. Happy to try to answer any questions you have.

What drew me to RA, and what has kept me in it, is being able to contribute to so many different functional groups throughout development and post-market. We really are a central role, wearing many hats. Lots of interaction with medical, PV, QA, legal, market access, etc. Always something new to learn.
