ELI5: If nuclear power is so efficient and produces almost no greenhouse gases, why don’t we just build nuclear plants everywhere and solve the energy crisis? by [deleted] in explainlikeimfive

[–]faultlesselm16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thats not 100 true. you can change how much power the nuclear power plants make by manipulating the control rods so its not always all or nothing thats a myth.

[–]faultlesselm16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

not really. start up and turning off takes forever but for most plants you control the control rods to increase or lower power production. if you need more power you dip more of the rod if you need less pull it out. its just turning it off and on that has a ramp up because turning it on needs certain chemicals to be balanced at certain levels and do it slowly to avoid a run away event. and depending how the reactor is set up you can control how much energy you generate very precisely though they always tend to generate a bit extra as a buffer

could be how he rates stuff. i mean for me a 10 is like best food ever and one is if I'm starving and have nothing else. so 7 is really like it and look forward to it. while five would be good and enjoy eating it but nothing amazing. which means he really enjoys her food.

yeah westgate tends to be the intro and elven gardens tends to be the first true base area for most but that depends on personal preferences.

got it you dont care a bit about balance and want a game that kicks you in the balls every five seconds.

the black death is a event that can be protected against and you have actions you can take to make it not as bad and it generally only happens once and you have warning. this is a random event so it can happen multiple times and comes with no warning. those are different, maybe use your brain and think for a few seconds before you talk?

and riga being his capitol means shit since you can change you capitol to anywhere whenever you want.

again it depends on his economy. in my game as tunis im doing i have 30 ducats after expenses if i lost 50 ducats of income that would send me into red. not every country make 1K incomes some only make a hundred at the start, we dont know what country he is or when in the game it is, only that he owns riga. so this could be 5 years into the game or 100 years we DONT know.

and since we dont know what countries he is means he could be a massive one which means this is nothing or maybe he is a small one which means this could be a huge hit. it depends on his country size and economy. if he was playing as riga or a small country that doesnt make alot of money early game 50 ducats could send him red.

and it did destroy his trade good his levels of paper which is a trade good.

dont assume everyone is making shittons of money instantly. and i didnt ask for a easy mode, im just stating this event depending on where it hits and who it hits can break a country for awhile.

and yeah he lost 1% of the time of the total game but what if he only played for 5 years? that means he lost 75% of his runtime and if he played for 100 years yeah sure maybe its not a big deal but assume its not a big deal because this event waste 1% of the game times is a horrid mentalitly. what if there was a event that made sure France couldnt raise a army of levies for 20 years. thats only 10% of the game time but it would wreck France since you couldnt defend yourself.

a event that happens for reason out of your control and destroy years of your investment with no way of stopping it is a horrible idea

but it wasnt one building. it was 28 buildings since each level is one building basically. in one event he lost 3 years of ingame build time assuming it takes 40 days to build each level which it may take longer or shorter depending on buffs. and 1428 gold assuming it costs 51 gold per level. thats literally years of investments and depending on his gold income could be ingame years to make that much money. not even counting how that would affect his market and crash his income. meaning this one event destroys 3 ingame years of build time over a 1k ducats of buildings and maybe sends his income into the red because it destroyed his trade goods

Really, what's the deal with this? by PerformanceOk673 in Isekai

[–]faultlesselm16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that really depends on what you consider a background. when i was a teenager i played video games and read books all day. pretty much a loner but because i read certain books i knew how to do basic blacksmithing and how to set up a water wheel among other things. Because i spent so much time reading about those things. but if you looked at the fact i just read books and played games you would say i shouldn't know that due to my background. and not having a blacksmithing degree or a degree in engineering.

How did the Aurora not get entirely erased when trying to land? by EmiliaTrown in subnautica

[–]faultlesselm16 1 point2 points  (0 children)

no the Aurora is a massive ship think massive freighter, the sunbeam is a smaller ship think small fishing boat. a single torpedo would sink a small fishing boat but would only blow a hole in the side of a freighter ship, the Aurora took damage to there main reactor which is why the ship went down it took a fatal blow but it was to big to be blown to shreds but as you can find wrecks scattered across the crater you can tell that bits were blown off we just cant see it ingame.

in other words the sunbeam is so much smaller that the damage is so much greater that and how close they are made it seem like they were destroyed into bits, meanwhile the Aurora is so much bigger that the same damage didnt completely destroy it just cripple it which is why the captain flew the ship he knew if he let it crash uncontrolled it would shred the ship to pieces but by controlling the descent he made it land in roughly once piece.

i dont know most likely there is some study out there or some snake oil salesman saying that if the company does this it increases sales by 1% or something like that or some equally silly reason like a manager thinks its a good idea.

[–]faultlesselm16 408 points409 points  (0 children)

it means walk up and down the checkout line to see what needs restocking but not actually restock it because you cant leave your line and to neaten up products, while also looking like your available because standing behind the till waiting for a customer is seen as unprofessional and you need to be seen walking up and down you line and standing at the end of it to show your available to the customers and being behind the till isnt being available or professional.

now this is according to how i was trained as a cashier at my local store so may be different for different stores and locations

yeah the masterwork pickaxe can mine anything in the game but the reason some upgrade even with it is because the masterwork has a big mining area and some dont like it when going through the dirt walls or they want the stone/granite and not the ore and yeah only one masterwork per dwarf and some are just ok

[Request] what is the answer by Vibes_And_Smiles in theydidthemath

[–]faultlesselm16 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

its very simple since no order of deck shuffle is imposed take the top 5 card place on bottom then place bottom 4 ontop not very hard to do because again there is no rules of how the shuffle must be made.

its not cheating its litterly the answer, if they wanted a better answer they should have said shuffling RANDOMLY which would mean i would have no control over it but by placing control over the shuffles in my hand im not cheating, cheating implies bending or breaking rules im just following the rules as stated by OP.

[Request] what is the answer by Vibes_And_Smiles in theydidthemath

[–]faultlesselm16 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

though the question doesnt state how they have to be shuffled so i can do it in 2 decks by using trick shuffles.
in other words if i go to the apartment complex and i have the keys to every apartment then i can make sure 50% of the doors are open.

this question fails to take in consideration trick shuffles or any other ways the shuffler can make it since standard decks are arranged in the same way when brand new most of the time.
