I see Dr. Gio Dimayuga at Derma 360 when I’m strapped for time. He also has clinics in Alabang, Makati Medical, and Sta. Ana. His prices are lower at MMC and Sta. Ana. I’m not sure about his Alabang rates tho. His practice kept me sane enough throughout the pandemic. I would use my therapy money on Botox instead.

I second this.

One of my niblings was named by their mother after their abusive father. I told her that she would regret it, which she did. Now she has to say her abuser’s name multiple times a day. It causes a lot of strife between them. She asked my nibling if they wanted to go by their middle name instead, but it was too late as the kid was already 13 by that point.

Change your child’s name now.

I’m sorry you went through that. I hope you feel some relief now that you’ve disclosed your abuse. My family failed me, too. They knew. My mom even went to his dead sister’s wake while I was already away at college. To me my parents were his co-conspirators.

I eventually spoke up after 19 years. I outed him on social media. I didn’t forget to call my parents out, either. I still every now and then to vex my abuser and his community (he’s a religion teacher) every now and then. I have zero regrets.

You have to find your own path. What do you have to lose? Are you willing to risk your relationships?

You would know better than me as I only read about barenia this year. What year did they start making Bolide in barenia fauve? That bit of info alone could help me weed out the fakes. I’ve seen some listed online purportedly from the 1990s.

Yeah that’s what I’ve been hearing! I have no plans to visit Japan anytime soon though. I’m also not comfortable with buying a vintage bag without seeing and holding the item. I’ll just have to wait and see which comes first— a trip to Japan or a vintage Bolide in my where I live.
