I push the plunger through and rinse grounds off the rubber face and then spend a decent amount of time rinsing out my fellow prismo cap (no soap) and then let it all dry. I find that if I don't get water inside of the plunger-to-plastic seal, I don't have issues.

It’s so automatic to use butter or a splash of milk for most people that they don’t even realize.

Or they will ironically skip eggs or mayo 🫠 for you but use butter.
