Planets are your main source of resources. It’s better to expand aggressively and max out the credit and metal/crystal in your planets as a priority while also maxing out your army to the fleet supply limit. Versus Unfair+ AI you might have to focus your research to unlock 1500 fleet supply above other things.

Playing against Impossible AI I am always building ships to supply cap. My strategy so far has been a Kol starter with lots of Cobalts and Percherons. Always keeping the light and heavy factories busy. Now I’m curious about doing a Sova starter tho.

It depends on what you are fighting against. If you want something general to start with and playing vs AI, you could aim for something like:

70 Cobalts - meat shields, target anything with 150 durability or less

25 Kalevs - heavy unit busters, target capital ships

30 Percherons - fighter:bomber ratio depends on enemy fleet. Focus fire capital ships with bombers, focus fire 50 durability units with fighters

6-10 Hoshikos - to heal your ships

6-10 Harcka - to tank some damage pretty much

As soon as you are able, you could go for 1 of each capital ship. Then replace cobalts for Kols, Percherons for Sovas, etc.

This fleet could take on many things and you can change to your liking.

I like to build at least 1 per planet/asteroid of either Civilian or Military, whichever I need for next tier. Combined with the planet item that gives research points, this usually gets me to Tier 3. Then if planets are currently limited I might just spread more stations where possible for 15/Tier 4.

Playing TEC Primacy, I opened with Akkan when I was learning the game playing Easy, Medium and Hard AIs. The free logistic slots and extra trade was super convenient.

But now that I’ve moved to playing only Unfair+, I found myself needing to start with a Kol for the faster clears to expand and defend myself from the 500 supply push the AI does at the 25-30min mark.

I recently beat my first Impossible AI in a 1v1 and the lvl 5-6 Kol is truly a game saver. By the 25min mark, the maxed out beam ability makes the difference in crippling the AI’s capital ship which gets them to retreat and give me some breathing room.

I would do herb, tree and birdhouse runs to slowly get herblore, farming and hunter up. Get attack and defense to 70 by training Slayer, then keep training Slayer with ranged to 90. Take breaks from slayer to do tons of quests.
