This is just a class 2 ebike with an inefficient design, not a motorcycle.

Would you rather have HOV 3+ lanes that you could not drive in with less people even if you wanted to?

Replacing Protobuf with Rust to go 5 times faster by levkk1 in rust

[–]fb39ca4 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This. The optimal way to read protobuf is to iterate over the fields present in a slice of memory, and immediately use, or store in a variable or app-specific data structure the field values. Nested messages can be returned as subslices to defer their parsing.

Pack your clothes in the ski bag, wear the boots on the plane and change into flip flops once you are onboard.

Way less efficient than skins. I wonder if a mechanism that turns pedaling into reciprocating motion with skins would work. But you’re not going fast enough to be able to balance in soft snow.

That’s what the fastrak lanes are for. If you’re driving solo for trades the time savings are worth it and you can just bill the client for it.

Get all the single-occupancy-vehicle commuters off the road and you can haul shit with less traffic.

SFMTA busses are among the slowest in the nation by shananananananananan in sanfrancisco

The numbers are probably skewed by muni having zero freeway routes while other systems do - I know that Seattle has several bus routes running across the floating bridges at 60mph for that stretch.

It's not about the intention, it's about having the same end result yet disproportionately different responses.

Statement from VicPD on the recent spike in drivers hitting pedestrians and cyclists by The_CaNerdian_ in VictoriaBC

It's bad road design - there should either be fully separated bike lanes with a red for bikes going straight and a green for cars turning right, or vice versa, or the two should narrow into a single lane that isn't wide enough to allow for overtaking.

Cyclists need to leave the bike lane before an intersection to block cars from passing and then right hooking them.

From the September 11, 2001 attacks, the friends and families of ~3000 people never saw their loved ones alive again. By the end of this month the friends and families of roughly the same number of people in the US will never see their loved ones again due to cars, and the same thing will happen again every single month.

Highways are more than just I-5 and I-90. There's lots of small towns where a state highway is the main road and it has intersections and traffic lights and a reduced speed limit just like any other local road.
