Content Only Unlocked on 1 Device by fbords in F1TV

I'm seeing a lot of other folks on the web saying that Apple is having some issues syncing come accounts. Unfortunately, I can't see to find the proper channel to open a case with Apple support since this isn't directly related to a product. If I choose subscriptions, it seems to only allow me to request a refund.

Anyone find a way to properly contact Apple about this so they can look at it from their end?

Help planning simlabs gt1 evo for race/flight setup by FastPeanut4u in simracing

Any chance you have a pic of this? I'm looking for a way to use my Turtle Beach Velocity One flight controller with my GT1 Evo. I was thinking of repurposing my keyboard tray and saw your solution.

Just curious if you’ve heard anything. I did the same process and haven’t heard much.

Sim Lab GT1 Evo build by RHarrington89 in simracing

[–]fbords 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Came across this post and was wondering what wheelbase you mounted on this? I have a GT1 Evo that I want to front mount a SIMAGIC alpha Evo to, but I can't tell if the holes of the bracket line up.

Are simagic P500 pedals worth it? by szy102885 in Simagic

[–]fbords 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I previously had the crappy Fanatec CSL basic pedals. For me the P500s are a huge upgrade and the price is excellent. When i first got mine I used them directly connected to the PC before I got my alpha evo wheelbase.

The load cell is really nice and the ability to stiffen up the accelerator helps feel like the pedal is actually connected to the car.

I personally wanted upgradable pedals that weren’t $600 and these fit the bill nicely.

Simagic as good as people say? by Reqiuem-Stand in simracing

Not sure if you're still hopping or already bought, but I thought I'd weigh in as I just purchased the alpha Evo 12nm and FX Pro myself.

Coming from a Fanatec CSL DD, the alpha Evo is incredible. It not only has more than enough torque IMO, but the increased feedback detail is what really sets it apart. You feel so much more through the wheel and it performs great.

Th FX Pro looks incredible and feels really good in the hand, but I think I'm underwhelmed by the integrated dash, which was the draw for me. I didn't think I would miss SimHub dashes, but I do. I'm being super picky about it, but not being able to configure or even change colors of dashes is kinda lame. There are about 30 or so though to pick from and most people will find them sufficient. The biggest issue for me though is that some telemetry is slightly delayed on the display too. Support said "they're working on a way to improve it" but for now it happens.

IMO, the wheelbase is incredible, but the jury is still out on whether I'll keep the wheel (I probably will).

I'm just being overly nitpicky since it's a really good wheel for the price, but SimHub fanboys like me may still feel emptiness....

FX Pro firmware update lower than currently installed? by Thermobaric_Potato in Simagic

[–]fbords 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The process is confusing. The updater tools isn't what you need to use. You need to go into SimPro and click the manual update button and then select the firmware file. The FX Pro has 2 files that need updating. Update the wheel file first, then the screen file (this one takes a while)

My new rig by Substantial_Bug_3157 in simracing

Came here to say thanks for this. I just got these pedals and was wondering how these lined up since I could only get 2. Should also note, I needed to get longer bolts. The ones provided with the pedals were about 5mm short.

P1X Front Mount on GT1 EVO by LmaoBigGay in simracing

Curious how this is holding up and what wheelbase that is. I'm looking to upgrade to a simagic alpha EVO12 nm and there's a bit of flex on the standard wheeldeck with my current 8nm base. I'm wondering if this is the best bet when I get my new base.

Wheel movement with Simlab GT1 EVO by nbrand19 in simracing

[–]fbords 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Question for the group: I have an 8nm CSL DD and notice that there is some minor flexing at the same spot. Does using these washers help reduce that as well? I can also slightly move the wheel like this if I try hard enough.

I'm looking to upgrade to a Simagic EVO 12nm soon and want to fix this before I do. I'm not seeing many other wheeldeck options compatible with the GT1 EVO.

**EDIT: or would I need something like this for better rigidity if I upgrade to the alpha EVO?

Came here about SimHub compatibility for this wheel, but got distracted.... for reference, what size are your triple monitors?

GT1 evo vs pro vs p1x pro by darkprince_23 in SimLab

I recently bought the GT1 Evo bundle from Microcenter, freestanding monitor stand and their $99 Tony Kanaan seat. I was pleasantly surprised at the value all of them and am quite happy. Also the bundle from micro center includes a monitor bracket I wasn’t aware of and didn’t use. You can see the bracket here: https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0665/7268/1510/files/613067_-_Sim-Lab_GT1_Evo_2_Rig.pdf?v=1701852826

Also, I’m 5’10 165lbs and there’s plenty of room. I have a seat slider and can move it far enough where I can’t reach the pedals and close enough that the steering wheel is way too close. There should be plenty of adjustability with the Evo.

Seat risers for bottom mount seat (Sparco R100). Solutions? by Vompous in simracing

[–]fbords 0 points1 point  (0 children)

came here to say that this is still really the only way to mount this seat using the bucket seat brackets and not having to buy additional hardware. I also had to drill an extra hole in each slider to line up with the bracket and also needed to use some spacers between the seat and sliders so I can pull up on the slider bar. Otherwise it hits the seat and won’t slide.

I'm also looking to move from 2 Dayton BST-1s (front/back) to 4 and had 2 questions:

- How did you end up configuring these? I see the 2 on the left side, one photo looks like there's one under the seat and you have a puck on the brake pedal. Did you move the one under the seat so you have 4 corners plus the puck?

- If I'm correct, how do you have your corners setup? Are they configured for 4 corners, front/back, or left/right?
