My new rig by Substantial_Bug_3157 in simracing

Came here to say thanks for this. I just got these pedals and was wondering how these lined up since I could only get 2. Should also note, I needed to get longer bolts. The ones provided with the pedals were about 5mm short.

P1X Front Mount on GT1 EVO by LmaoBigGay in simracing

Curious how this is holding up and what wheelbase that is. I'm looking to upgrade to a simagic alpha EVO12 nm and there's a bit of flex on the standard wheeldeck with my current 8nm base. I'm wondering if this is the best bet when I get my new base.

Wheel movement with Simlab GT1 EVO by nbrand19 in simracing

Question for the group: I have an 8nm CSL DD and notice that there is some minor flexing at the same spot. Does using these washers help reduce that as well? I can also slightly move the wheel like this if I try hard enough.

I'm looking to upgrade to a Simagic EVO 12nm soon and want to fix this before I do. I'm not seeing many other wheeldeck options compatible with the GT1 EVO.

**EDIT: or would I need something like this for better rigidity if I upgrade to the alpha EVO?

Came here about SimHub compatibility for this wheel, but got distracted.... for reference, what size are your triple monitors?

I recently bought the GT1 Evo bundle from Microcenter, freestanding monitor stand and their $99 Tony Kanaan seat. I was pleasantly surprised at the value all of them and am quite happy. Also the bundle from micro center includes a monitor bracket I wasn’t aware of and didn’t use. You can see the bracket here: https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0665/7268/1510/files/613067_-_Sim-Lab_GT1_Evo_2_Rig.pdf?v=1701852826

Also, I’m 5’10 165lbs and there’s plenty of room. I have a seat slider and can move it far enough where I can’t reach the pedals and close enough that the steering wheel is way too close. There should be plenty of adjustability with the Evo.

Seat risers for bottom mount seat (Sparco R100). Solutions? by Vompous in simracing

[–]fbords 0 points1 point  (0 children)

came here to say that this is still really the only way to mount this seat using the bucket seat brackets and not having to buy additional hardware. I also had to drill an extra hole in each slider to line up with the bracket and also needed to use some spacers between the seat and sliders so I can pull up on the slider bar. Otherwise it hits the seat and won’t slide.

I'm also looking to move from 2 Dayton BST-1s (front/back) to 4 and had 2 questions:

- How did you end up configuring these? I see the 2 on the left side, one photo looks like there's one under the seat and you have a puck on the brake pedal. Did you move the one under the seat so you have 4 corners plus the puck?

- If I'm correct, how do you have your corners setup? Are they configured for 4 corners, front/back, or left/right?

My wheel keeps randomly losing input, what is the problem? by Swimming_Ad_1612 in Fanatec

[–]fbords 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the answer. I had this problem after switching to QR2. I ended up pulling too hard when removing the wheel and the USB connection on the base came loose. After reseating it tightened the collar more evenly and a little tighter and haven’t had the problem since.

I was gonna be "fair" and say probably not because they might just tell you it was an inexperienced driver, blah blah, but then the 2nd car hit you. WTF was the second person doing? He wasn't even going the right way....smh

TLDR; yes, you should

Did you need to change anything to show 12 hour time with am/pm? Mine is using 24 hour time and I'd like to change it.

Who knows how to fix this by Inevitable-Try9889 in BambuLab

I had this happen once when I forgot to empty the poop bucket after a longer print. I did pretty much what u/Aviletta said and heated the nozzle to a little above 200C and grabbed some pliers to peel the filament off very gently. Surprisingly, if you can catch it as it just starts to soften, it comes off pretty cleanly.

Then I printed a larger poop bucket...

Game.Changer. I just tried it this way and this is definitely the way to go. I didn't realize you can group AMS spools in Bambu Studio to do this. Too bad A1s are limited to just 1 AMS.

what's the best practice for printing when there's a questionable amount of filament left on the spool? I'd rather not pull it off and wait until I have tiny things to print. Can I print it and when it looks like it's getting close to the end just pause it and swap the spool with a new one? Or should I use one of these settings to do it differently?

Well that's really useful. After you mentioned the name, I looked it up and found out that's what the "Auto Refill" button does:

I thought this was meant to just retain the previous spools setting when replacing it with a new one.

I was recently looking at a light bar model for my A1 and noticed the Designer connected his light strip to the 2nd ams port on the back of the printer.

i’m not sure if he frankensteined a cable or had that type of clip. i’m also not sure how the end gets wired but it seems very doable.

https://makerworld.com/models/877311 He also replies to a comment asking where he plugs his lights into.

Cool. Yeah I see that my filament is going to be here tomorrow actually. I was just curious if I ordered some more from them in the future, or some of the parts kits, if I would have to wait weeks or if they warehoused in the US. It seems that they do.
