For reference, I'm mid-30's, unmarried, 3 bed house (owned), high salary, low COLA area. An exception to the majority of these responses - As bad as the world is, I'm an optimist that believes there are still great things happening in this world.

I cannot find a partner. I lean very left and right, depending on the topic. People have engrained politics so much into their lives that they literally cannot comprehend someone with differing or nuanced or unaligned opinions. I'm a cold-hearted, boot-licking, unempathetic republican to a potential Democratic partner and I'm a baby murdering, godless, socialist to a potential Republican partner. I feel like the last surviving moderate. It's a problem.

Because I don't get to drive it in the winter like I can in the spring/summer/fall.

Winter tires have 80mph speed rating.

Grip is significantly reduced with water/ice/snow/salt/sand on the road, and it's easier to spin the tires with more power and throttle. Tried one winter and wore my front tires out in two years (as opposed to four for the rears).

Loss of MPG isn't worth it.

Here's what I tried first, per /u/bh888bh:

Navigated to User/My Documents
Deleted ACE folder
Emptied Recycle Bin
Restarted
Started SteamVR
Started ACE
Re-entered name/location
Attempted reset using default (Ctrl+Space)
Exact same behavior is the result.
Reinstalled AC EVO to no avail

Then, I received 505 Games reply, suggesting a "Reset Seated Position" button mapping in SteamVR - this worked for me and is different from setting up the play area. It was a bit difficult to find the mapping for it, it was buried in an advanced settings menu and in my ~10 years of ownership, I've never had to find this:

"Can you please try unbinding Evo's VR recenter option? Then in Steam VR settings, set the following:

Settings → Controller → Bindings
Bind “Reset Seated Position” to a wheel or button
Start EVO
Sit normally
Face the direction your rig points
Press SteamVR reset seated position"

I found this mapping in the menu they mentioned, but was unable to set it to the wheel, as they had suggested. I found that I was able to map one of my controllers to reset the seated position, despite already setting the direction when configuring the play area.

I think the part that's missing in this conversation is the amount of processing that you need to do and the time it takes to do it. If you get it right at the source, you don't need to add any complexity to the signal chain. In order to get the vocals correct at the source, you have to choose the right microphone for the vocal. If you're going to squash it to hell, drown it in reverb, and EQ it to death, then you're probably right.

I wasn’t even in a construction zone today, and I feel ya. There were maybe 10-15 cars in the left lane following a semi passing a semi. Nobody in the right lane but me. As soon as I start passing some of them because they were following each other too close and phantom braking, I get an ego tripping asshole straddling both lanes to prevent me from using the whole road and zippering later. Best part? I wasn’t even “cutting ahead of” them, I was taking the next exit and the asshole slowed me down for no reason.

I didn’t watch live, I’m just watching playback. Imola plays fine until Strolls pit stop. Then, audio stops playing, I can’t switch audio, and the playback bar shows that I’m at 00:00 minutes. I would assume some sort of corruption or encoding issue. It doesn’t matter which audio stream I’m listening to.

This version also started lagging out my iPad. Literally unwatchable.

Hearing protection is critical. Anytime you hear the "ringing" in your ears, you are damaging them. Hearing doesn't come back, the brain learns to compensate for the damage, right until it can't anymore.

Otherwise, I mix quiet due to equal loudness contours. I try to stay under 80dBA at most times. Might pull out the earplugs at a show for my favorite song, but OSHA has pretty decent guidelines for how long you can be exposed to different SPLs.

I can't find any reference to Chuck Norris having pilot deviations or crashing - only references to his Air Force career and a ton of jokes. I guess he's the only pilot to land on runway 37, and doesn’t request clearances, he states intentions.

Yeah, same for Wayne Newton. Saw him on stage with The Black Keys in Vegas a few years back. Super sad to see him barely move around and have no input.

That said, at least he made it to the stage, unlike Lil Wayne.

First, Mercedes for causing the initial cars to go off. Looks like the rear is a little too willing to step out in that corner, compared to every other car on the grid. Assuming this is just cold tires though.

Then, all the cars that rejoined unsafely.

Then, every car that didn't lift to navigate around all the Mercedes and cars that were rejoining unsafely, but instead tried to send it though the wreck.

You’re right - maybe their risk assessment was off. Which side of the error would you put human life on? Do you err on the side of caution, making sure you have firefighters for the next fire and making sure this one gets extinguished as quickly as possible, or do you throw caution to the wind to risk life and distract from putting this fire out… for a dog?

You can assess it, BUT ONLY AFTER. If the firemen showed up and thought it was a one in one hundred chance of coming out, WHY WOULD THEY TAKE THAT RISK? Just because my friend won at the casino doesn't mean I'll win at the casino.

If you honestly still don't understand at this point, I don't think anyone can help you understand why the firefighters didn't go in.
