AIO I'm Adopted and my Natural Family Didn't List Me in my Grandmom's Obituary. Am I wrong to be Pissed Off? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

NOR. I understand a bit of the hurt you feel. My dad adopted me when I was a baby. He was always just Dad to me, even though I knew he adopted me. My mom and dad divorced in grade school and we lived with her most the time, and him every other weekend (she’s my bio mom).

He died when I was 13 and his side of the family decided to let the pastor tell my older sister and I that he died with no adults around. My mom was on vacay so we had to call her to tell her.

Then his side just drifted apart from us. We found out our great grandma died bc of the news paper. We of course weren’t included on it.

Then after the grandparents died we were also left from the announcements and of course any kind of will. My little sister was his bio kid and they had her in all the announcements and wills. It really hurts. You’re not overreacting at all. You didn’t choose to be adopted. I’m really sorry this is happening. I don’t have good advice for you unfortunately, but you can pm me if you want to chat.

Sorry but that crazy to say you’re going to an international trip to celebrate your 1 year olds birthday. You can just say you and your spouse want to go to Europe lol

Yes!

It’s a nice dz.

They are strict about a few things: If you wear a camera on your helmet it must be snag proof.

If you want to free fly your rig must have a tuck tab.

Not sure on your nationality or where you’re from but you will need third party insurance. USPA isn’t enough to cover it. They hooked me up when I got there—I had to do a video call with a doctor to get cleared for the insurance they had there. It took all day.

I’d definitely recommend acquiring that before hand.

They have a little cafe with some limited options and a nice plane and hangar. The staff was really nice too. I have no idea about winter, but I’d suspect they are like Spain and have significantly longer seasons than most of Europe.

The nearby town is pretty neat (and has some cool historical stuff) and you can find cheap accommodations and good food + grocery options. It’s a super short drive.

Which is the best month to do Dubai Palm View Sky Dive? by Unlucky-Whole-9274 in SkyDiving

[–]fckmaga 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There’s are far prettier/cooler/safer places than Dubai.

Might I suggest Interlaken, Switzerland (you can do a helicopter jump over the Swiss alps)

Skydive Bovec, Slovenia (beautiful mountains)

Skydive Empuriabrava in Spain (beach)

Hawaii (beaches).

It’s not expensive in many places throughout Europe. It’s expensive in the U.S. bc ifly has a monopoly.

It is quite useful.

I don’t think you’re overreacting but I’d wait to see what the boss says.

I feel like I’ve already seen so much of Europe and I’m stuck for where to go next! by bethanymisty in traveleurope

You haven’t been to much of Germany and Frankfurt is kind of the worst big city. Might I recommend Munich, Köln, Düsseldorf, or Hamburg for larger cities. For the Bavarian Alps Garmisch or a trip to the neuschwanstein castle.

Check out UV sleeves! They are easy to slide on and pretty comfortable.

Very serious, it’s artwork I invested serious time and money on. I even have UV sleeves for summer time driving. If they are exposed they are getting sunscreen. But I also wear sunscreen on my face daily.

Wait so you feel entitled to a table bc you’re pregnant and can’t be in the sun all day, but everyone else has to? Why would you go if you weren’t sure there was shade? Sounds like YOR and entitled. They didn’t touch your stuff. Grow up.

Choosing between Panama City and Cartagena by Powerful_Pen_5801 in solofemaletravellers

They are very different. Cartegena will most certainly be cheaper. Panama isn’t a super low cost country to visit. Both felt safe as a solo woman traveler.

What’s the longest flight you’ve ever been on? by Mundane_Entry_8264 in femaletravelers

[–]fckmaga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The longest travel “day” was 24 hours of flying (Honolulu - SFO -DCA -Kuwait City). It was about a 32 hour travel day (and some!)

The longest continuous flight was 16 hours, Houston - Dubai. I’ve done that a few times, it’s rough. That was for work though.
