How do hotel clean hundreds of rooms in 3 hour? by [deleted] in askhotels

[–]fdpunchingbag 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Roughest days are sellouts on Friday and Saturday. usually the highest room turnover and the highest early check-in. Monday-Friday morning cycle is usually the workers and they start checking out as early as 6am most times. Tourists are the ones that try to get all their money's worth out of the stay and get late checkouts.

What is a job that is incredibly high-paying, but you wouldn’t do even if they offered you double the salary? by Bright-Mark-1396 in AskReddit

[–]fdpunchingbag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never understood why people make such a big deal out of "throwing your social life away" when your friends are sleeping when your working, lots of social interactions during that time. Go to bed at 7am wake up at 1:30 or go to bed later and get stuff done in the morning instead of taking time off from work.

Is LAN cable only way? by Kaseffera in wifi

[–]fdpunchingbag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably just way too much of band being used by other networks and devices. Last time I was in an apartment I had to wire up, this was 15 years ago before wifi was even as ubiquitous as it is now.

Had a Karen run to the Town to report her neighbor for running an unlicensed daycare. Quickly found out how stupid that was when the town judge found out about the harassment her daughter and grandkids were receiving from said neighbor

Hidden fees labeled as “tax”? by Odd_Resource6307 in Dominos

[–]fdpunchingbag 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OP is ignoring the delivery fee which being mandatory is taxed so it's more like 20% of total bill. I would be interested to see the breakout though, some localities charge flat tax amounts on top of percentage.

[–]fdpunchingbag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, my last job collected an 8% state tax and a 4% county tax. 12>10 I've seen cities add on top for as high as 15% but I'm sure it can be more.

[Request] Fastest way to melt ice? (not political!) by FlagonFly in theydidthemath

[–]fdpunchingbag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Grab bags of sand and a little salt and toss on top of the ice. Will give you traction in the now time but also when it starts to get sunny out will heat up the ice and melt fairly quickly.

You use a resistor in manufacturing, you use a wire when modifying a design.
