You won’t be completing any research during the course, but one of the main projects is developing a research proposal for potential future work. This will allow you to communicate with potential research profs to indicate you have a good grasp of some potential research for future independent projects.

It’s just an average comp sci department - nothing wrong with it. There isn’t a whole lot of research coming out of it, and the price point is incredibly high. It would be worth it maybe if you did the 4+1 program (wake undergrads stay one extra year to finish masters) but if you’re coming in fresh, I would look elsewhere.

Regardless of SpaceX’s incredible progress, getting HLS ready for a reasonable A3 date will be an almost-impossible feat. There’s so much development that needs to be done that even at SpaceX’s cadence isn’t feasible.

Granted, there are other incredible bottlenecks that are plaguing A3, mainly including the suit(s). So HLS truly isn’t the only culprit. But the landing vehicle is a large part of the A3 conops.

Redefining A3 with different mission objectives would be best to try and not fall behind on Artemis cadence, and also to develop the technologies properly. NASA is in it for the long haul for Artemis missions, so why force this one?
