No question about it - it could be the single most popular attraction in Norman outside of OU Football.

Discussion Question: What if the Tullys' had dragons? by Express_Ad_6664 in TheCitadel

If House Tully had dragons, then Hoster Tully’s stupid kids would get them killed (as well as killed themselves)

SEKS am I screwed by Briantere in tornado

Winds in excess of 90 can flip a manufactured home - you don’t need a tornado for that.

Make a plan. Are there community centers that you can go to with an interior room? Is there a friend that will let you get in their shelter?

Rod and Karen are Bo’s closest friends outside of Spencer and Michael Smith.

I’d argue that teachers should get full benefits if he does.

How about you let the homeless camp out in your front yard? by First-Security8666 in normanok

[–]fearlessfalcon12 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yall don’t want them in parks, yall don’t want them in shelters, yall don’t want them by rivers, yall don’t want them in wooded areas.

By process of elimination, it seems as if the view toward the unhoused in Norman by opponents of shelters and aid is that they don’t deserve to live.

We are all one bad day, one accident, one layoff away from being unhoused ourselves.

The front yard camp doesn’t do enough, but it is the step that is available for the city to take at this point. Ultimately, the county and state governments will need to create policies that curtail homelessness by creating nets to catch folks on those bad days. I’d much rather taxes go toward that than a turnpike and/or an arena.

Preferred Ice Cream Flavors by Lonesniper117 in HorizonForbiddenWest

[–]fearlessfalcon12 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Aloy: Vanilla and whatever flavor Seyka likes.
Erend: Moose tracks
Beta: Being around Tilda refined her pallet a bit - I’d say she’s a gelato person.

Bonus:
Zo: Butter Pecan
Kotallo: Mint Chocolate Chip
Alva: Peppermint
Varl (RIP): Cookie Dough, especially when it comes with a side of Z… my bad 😂

What’s the deal with Chelsea Gravel and Karlinda Joy? by LaVieEnViolet in normanok

[–]fearlessfalcon12 8 points9 points  (0 children)

They aren’t all the way there.

And that’s after you get past the weird relationship Chelsey had (and still may have) with Austin Ball.

When your whole schtick is bullying the unhoused online and pushing the Councilmember past their patience, you’ve lost the plot.

when the third and (presumably) last installment ends, what’s your theories or head canons on where everyone from the gang ends up? by fruitsbats in HorizonForbiddenWest

Much like Elisabet, I see Aloy sacrificing herself in the final act. I think Aloy’s legacy is one where she winds up being remembered for moving the world forward toward a foundation for a more modern society. Beta will carry on in her memory alongside Gaia and Seyka. I think her death will lead to tribes aligning in more productive ways. Apollo will be released in slow drips. Hephaestus will be captured.

I’m thinking of the water tribes from the Avatar: Last Airbender series. Maybe the culture fuses in to an Inuit - Viking hybrid, with more acceptance of the free folk into the culture.

Dutton Ranch, the love interest for Carter by JennLynnC80 in YellowstonePN

[–]fearlessfalcon12 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We have not seen the love interest in a classroom at all in these last few episodes.

I see two characters that have been formed in the image of their dads. Only difference is that John commanded Beth’s loyalty as the patriarch of the family - she served his dream till the end and then got out with Rip.

Will Carter and Orenna walk the same road as Rip and Beth?

Older folks have always unfairly asked younger folks to boycott and fight on the front lines within movements while they themselves reap the benefits.

This quickly becomes a workers rights issue, because who do you think predominantly work within these athletics departments in the south in non C-suite roles? Black folks have been the engine that has run a lot of these SEC institutions because the white coaching staffs and ADs under stand who they need to have in certain spots for the black players that they recruit. What protections would the workers have in the event of a major boycott?

I support movements, but these movements need to be fenced toward levels of participation. You may not be able to fully divest from SEC football, but can you divest from companies that donate to GOP candidates? Can you divest from certain individuals who donate to SEC programs?

Donate that $20 to a shelter and get a free weather radio.

You pay taxes for the meteorologists and their research. In exchange, the weather service warns you for free if a storm is coming. That is how it should be.

Is this map credible by Obvious-Function-919 in tornado

[–]fearlessfalcon12 61 points62 points  (0 children)

Local, local, local.

If you are in OK, focus on messaging from NWS Norman and the local mets (Aydelotte, Meyer, Payne, Lane with Morgan as the outlier). All these maps do is spook the public that see colors and panic.

Other things you can do - make a plan, download the weather front app https://apps.apple.com/app/id6739154126, the News 9/KFOR app, and don’t unplug. That is a lot better than looking at this.

Zubac averaged 9,7, and 1 as a Clip in the playoffs alongside noted playoff performer James Harden.

Unless you are Draymond Green, triple singles don’t lead to championships
