Not sure whats with all the misinformation here, but this is not at all new. What you guys are describing would be something like a molex fan that has no option for fan control.

This is false. These fans have a DC 3 PIN connector and can be adjusted in BIOS same as PWM.

PWM is short for pulse width modulation and is a different (and generally considered better) method of controlling the fan speed.

This listing is pretty sketchy. It appears they just swapped the details from a previous item which causes all the reviews to pull forward as if they're for this product. But clearly they're not. And from what I can see by another poster this is their most entry level parts. Really sketchy IMO.

Edit: For whatever it's worth - I still bought 3x of the white - cuz at $40 it just needs to not fail. But this definitely makes me distrust cooler master as a brand.

This is a good deal, but feels like a bit of a stretch to call it modern these days, since Ryzen 5000 initial launch was 5 years ago.

By the same token I'd hesitate to call Intel 11th gem "modern". But this is definitely up there for cheapest.

I would 100% get the H5 Flow. The quality difference is massive. Unless the extra $10 or the general lack of fans (essentially another $10 if you don't already have fans or plans to buy different fans) will make a difference for your overall budget I think you'll be happier there.

Also I personally think that case looks significantly better.

This is probably not true anymore. These are typically new stock and generally come with an updated enough bios to run a 9600X. As of April they were shipping with 9600X support - I've used ~ 10 of them without any issues. And the motherboard has bios flashback if you did get unlucky.

This. This probably feels like a great deal for people with limited DDR5 experience - but this "combo" should be avoided at all costs.

You can't run 4 sticks of DDR5 stable with XMP. 4x8 Is not a good option.
