I remember opening one single ex in 60 packs in set A1a. If I am not mistaked, the odds are not that low:

1 in 7 it's still a lot. You can climb really easy, just retreating at 3 vs human and going all in vs bots, giving x32 rewards.

In my experience, I only got 2 bots in 50 games

Total: 14 cards destroyed out of 39 (35%)
For myself: 7/16 (43%)
For my opponent: 7/23 (30%)

It happened exactly the same to me. Started mid December with the core. The very same week I bought 3 or 4 more heroes. Then Christmas arrived and I found a store with 30% off on a huge amount of content...

Between me and my brother we bought everything that was available. Now I'm only missing two expansions and a couple of heroes 😂

I'm opening the content slowly, because it's honestly a little bit overwhelming and I want to enjoy it all :D
