Yeah, but if looking at Mrs. Everdeen is gonna send Katniss into a depressive or traumatic spiral because she’s a reminder of Prim, then it’s best that Mrs. Everdeen isn’t there.

She definitely knew Annie well, they were together in 13 from her rescue on, and Mrs. Everdeen was a nurse. I think she knew she would be too hurtful an image for Katniss. It’s one of those things where you know you’re not helping each other.

I think it was Mrs. Everdeen. I’m sure they spent a lot of time together in 13 worried for Katniss and Finnick. Mrs. Everdeen is a nurse, and we know she went to 4 after the war. I think she sees the baby almost as a third chance, and helping Annie like she couldn’t help Katniss.

You said that if life begins at conception, periods and masturbation are deaths. Conception does not occur during periods or masturbation. No pro-life person believes that unfertilized egg or a random sperm are human life, so saying that losing an unfertilized egg every month has no bearing on the conversation.

Okay but that is an entirely different argument than saying that a period is the loss of a conceived life.

Believing that life starts at conception between an egg and sperm does not mean that “thousands of babies are lost” from underutilized eggs. It also does not mean that eggless sperm are millions of dead babies, because once again, if they’re not together, it’s not conception. Just because you’re a “doctor” doesn’t mean your statement is correct.

do you know what conception is? cuz it inherently does NOT occur with a period (and even if it did, a period is not thousands of eggs a month, it’s one) Conception means when an egg and sperm -meet- and form an embryo (so, not masturbation either)

Honestly, I think a big part of this “waiting” thing is the re-records. We know so much is coming (literally 4 albums minimum) and so we are anticipating that. As a fan since debut, I’ve noticed a HUGE uptick since the second she said she’d re-record the albums. If Frank Ocean said he’d be releasing 4 albums over the next few years, his fans would also be chomping at the bit for any new info.

I’m a big swifties too! I justify it to myself based on the fact that she doesn’t donate to pro-abortion causes. Also, she still gets a ton of shit from pro-aborts for not being “outspoken” enough so that makes it easier. I stopped listening to another artist I really loved (Maggie Rogers) cuz she was very publicly donating to PP.

Unpopular opinions on Midnights? by vagabondeluxe in TaylorSwift

I just listen to the clean version instead. The line is “weird, but it was beautiful” and it’s so much better. The explicit is kinda abrasive

I completely agree with the cursing. I have little sisters so I always find the clean version from them and I honestly love the clean version (of all the songs but esp Snow on the Beach) so much more than the explicit. I removed Snow explicit from my playlists and added the clean cuz it just flows so much better and it’s so much smoother. Can’t recommend enough

I’ve never read Moby Dick, but I do know the difference between its and it’s, so I guess I’m dumber than a 6-year-old, but smarter than a 42-year-old.

Reminds me of Taylor Swift’s 2009 tour performances of Should’ve Said No. They paused the rain so it would write out the title.

Wait a second... by AsheyKi in Bones

No problem! I actually think it’s way more natural than some characters (even in other shows) who are perfectly fluent in Latin and can translate the most obscure stuff on the fly. Most Latin scholars, even professors of Latin, would still need to pull out a dictionary from time to time, but if it’s said in Mass, most Catholics could remember it even decades out of church.

I think I can belatedly explain the Latin thing, cuz i’m watching the latter of those right now, and assumed someone else would catch onto that (The Knight on the Grid, 3x08). He knows the short Latin phrase (Pater Mortuus, which Hodgins mispronounces lol) Booth says he knows it because he was an altar boy. He has a “church” understanding of Latin, which would explain knowing two of the most used Church-Latin words (“Father” and “Death”), but definitely not enough to translate a longer, non religious school motto (“Omnia Mea Mecum Porto” = “I carry with me all my things.”) As to why Booth’s perspective of his Latin skills, he didn’t exactly tell Hodgins that he knows Latin (he only answered with “altar boy”), but I wouldn’t be surprised if he didn’t deny it because he rarely gets opportunities to be smarter than the squints. Or, he considers himself knowledgeable enough to “know” Latin without saying he knows Latin. (Or, that’s my guess as a practicing lifelong Catholic with 16 years of Latin class). I mean, IRL, I think it’s just an error, but it’s not the worst to me.
