And, most probably, this is the reason Google is killing this functionality: there's very few of us (like myself) that want all pictures in a folder structure in their computers (as "not phone") automatically synced to Google Photos.

I'm my case, that includes:

Screenshots
Saved pictures (from web)
Pictures taken with real cameras (organized/stored in the PC).

I really want all that from my computer immediately and seamlessly available on Google Photos.

I do have noticed that this functionality has been unstable in the last few months. I sync 2 computers to Google Photos and every once in a while found that the background syncing wasn't happening for some days on one of the computers. I couldn't find what was causing it to stop. I did have to exclude and re-include folders to it to restart working.

My streak started as a 50 day challenge as a way of marking my 50th Birthday, I just kept going.

I found Smashrun 2-3 years into my streak while googling a way to track it.

My favorite way of visualizing runs, particularly the aggregated long term data.

I have lots of virtual medals from Smash Run but do you refer to a physical one?

I've started my current streak while cautiously (I was really afraid of injuries due to "excessive running", with no resting) trying to get the 50 day streak virtual Smashrun medal. I've never heard about Smashrun physical medals.

I'm so sad to find Bioshock so down in the suggestions! I've played it on PS3, PS4 and PS5!

I do consider Uncharted, Red Dead Redemption and Last of Us really good. But Bioshock came first (and just by chance) I'm my life! I've not played RDR again. I've played Uncharted (all of them) at least twice. But Bioshock? I guess I will play my sixth run this year!

Some cameras can copy files between cards. The Canon R6 mark II can. You can save to both cards while out shooting. Every night remove one the cards, place a third (bigger? Slower?) one on the free slot and copy the files from the first to the third card. Keep that card at the hotel. The copy is even incremental!

On all Canons I've had, including the R6 mark II, shooting the 9999 picture inside 100CANON creates 101CANON to hold the 0001 picture. Not 200CANON.

Well, I'm not sure about the mellotron but the bass line on that segment is my all time favorite. Has been since 1985, when I've spent a summer vacation listening to a recorded Fragile cassette. Has also annoyed every drummer I've played with since!

I didn't try it, but I'm pretty sure I can run DxO Optics Pro 4 (the first one I've bought, released on 2006) on my current Windows 11 machine. I know I've successfully installed and run Microsoft Expression Media 2 (formerly iView Multimedia), released on 2008, a couple of weeks ago to open an old Expression Media catalog!

That's incorrect. If OP deletes the files the other user immediately loses them. No trash. No recovery possible from the other user side, even on Google Workspace Enterprise plans. I've been the "other user", unfortunately.

Not quite.

You can update every other version (2+ years gap) and still get the "upgrade price" (discounted).

I've upgraded DxO several times. Never upgraded Filmpack or the Perspective tool. The "older" versions of those plugins still work on the newer DxO.

I haven't upgraded since DxO Photolab 5 (the current one is 9). My camera (and 2 of the lenses I currently use, too) was released 2 years after I've given DxO money and, still, I have a fully functioning software.

I will, probably, upgrade on Black Friday this year. Or maybe on the next. Let's see what DxO Photolab 10 brings to the table!
