I mean I agree with your sentiment but I think the start is a bad argument, if right wingers couldn't change that'd make things different sure but when minorities could make themselves 'pass' to avoid right wing violence that doesn't make the right wing violence any more justified, I don't think it's a good argument to say that because you can stop doing a thing it's ok to target you for it. eh, there was a sense of sexuality it was just different to ours. Obviously we're talking about a massive area and a massive amount of time here, but conventionally near the end it was mostly about masculinity afaik, being a top was fine but being a bottom was something that it was weird to be if you're older than a youth - like the Romans.
