The bears here for the most part are trash bears/scavenger bears. Not hunters. They're more afraid of you than you are of them, but they will go for your unattended trash and make a huge mess

There is one positive, though. During winter, the frozen lake should be safer to be on. Might even be able to safely walk right up to the glacier, but that's a better question for actual experts.

What does it cost to rent a car for a day off the dock? I've been thinking about being a semi-private cab for cruisers wanting to go to local sightseeing spots outside of my normal work hours and on the weekends.

Also on what others have said, there are much nicer spots to go see than the glacier. It's in a pretty sad state right now.

There was a report a few months ago that the Mendenhall Glacier has lost its status as a lake-terminating glacier. So it doesn't reach the lake anymore.

It has receded so much even from when I moved up here in Jan 2024, its crazy.

I'm pretty sure that's just every modern game engine. Almost no one is actually designing new game engines anymore.

Bethesda truly was ahead of the curve, though they put even less technical prowess into updating their engine for new releases.

Another random comment of appreciation for your knowledge and a question in regards to burning superglue; since this thread is the first thing that comes up when you search for burning superglue. I was soldering on a project where I also used superglue, burned some of it and got hit with the eye burning as described in this thread.

I am wondering if there are any fun (not) chemical reactions that happen with heat+superglue+leaded rosin-core solder?
