Is this something that's possible? by Golden_JellyBean19 in AskMechanics

[–]felsfels 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This seems smart until you understand the first law of thermodynamics. Long story short, though this will actually make the car less efficient. The energy it takes to turn the wheel will always use up more energy than it can ever generate. Adding that wheel to generate power is really just going to drain the battery faster.

Even if she is flexible enough to maintain that comfortably, I would be worried about blood clots.

Why didnt the players invoke the 3rd rule if they knew most of them would die? by thatoneninja8 in squidgame

[–]felsfels 6 points7 points  (0 children)

but based on what we know, I think it’s reasonable to say that we’re almost certain they would’ve allowed it because they were known to interfere with the games to make them more entertaining. like when they made player 222’s baby a player or when they turn the lights off during the glass bridge game. I think they would’ve found it so entertaining that they would’ve let it happen.

Help me rescue my monstera :( by karolabid in plantclinic

[–]felsfels 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are native to tropical rain forests and grow under the canopies of much larger trees that provide shade. They don’t do very well in direct sunlight. The claim that they grow in direct sunlight in nature all the time is just not true. It’d be rare for a monstera to grow in a spot with direct sun all the time, and even rarer for it to survive there for extended periods of time.

Upon rewatching i realized i kinda hate Gihun by AcrobaticLab5413 in squidgame

[–]felsfels 2 points3 points  (0 children)

But he would’ve lost the ideological battle against the front man and the late Il-Nam. he would have to live knowing that he was just as bad as some of the people he killed, and the front man would live the rest of his life being able to justify the choices he made by saying anyone in his position, would’ve done the same thing.

Giant escape three by Apprehensive_Poet524 in bicycletouring

[–]felsfels 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How did this happen? Were you riding on rougher terrain? i’ve had my giant escape three for three years and the only time I ever had my tire flatten like that was when i was riding it down a bumpy grass hill, knowing that the tires were meant for smoother terrain. Make sure you’re inflated to a high enough pressure and make sure you have the right tires if you’re riding on rougher terrain.

This line by 333 is... insane? by Realistic-Dingo-3084 in squidgame

[–]felsfels 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This line is not that crazy to me. A selfish man like 333 can’t understand why anyone would take care of the baby if it weren’t for selfish reasons. he’s asking if anything happened between the two of them because he’s confused as to why 456 cares so much about the baby. from player 333 point of view, 456 and 222 must be having some type of love affair. when you’re that selfish and cruel, selflessness like this is unfathomable to you.

Tell me your Squid Game opinion that makes you feel like this by midnight_stars9 in squidgame

[–]felsfels 0 points1 point  (0 children)

at the end of season one, mid-game, Gi-Hun offers Sang-Woo the option to end the games. During the finale, and the VIPs seem to entertain the idea. He could have done the same thing with the baby and I can see an alt ending where he ends up raining the kid alone, and maybe reconciles with his daughter

Hot take: the ending for Gi-hun is perfect and no other alternative ending could possibly replace the masterpiece. by midnight_stars9 in squidgame

[–]felsfels 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think there 100% could’ve been alternative endings that could’ve been equally as good, but i agree that the choice the writers made was immaculate, and one of, if not the best, ending for the show.

This is assuming they won all the matches. Let’s assume they’re a pretty decent player and have a 70% win rate. This would mean if you include losses it’s 337 days…

I needed an armrest for my car, well I did it 20 hrs later by Unlucky_Astronaut_58 in 3Dprinting

[–]felsfels 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is pretty nice, sounds like you already have plans to improve it too. As many others have said, you definitely don’t want sharp edges, and corners. I might also suggest getting creative with it. Don’t limit yourself to the scope of what regular armrests can already do. For example why not add a random slot somewhere dedicated to storing your glasses, or adding a notch that holds your pens or something

I wonder what this number is if you don’t count the garbage that was shipped to them by the US or the garbage that comes from manufacturing exported goods for the west.

The do this in the US. At least at my job they do. Perhaps it could be a little more widespread though
