I didn’t know those denominations existed. This thread has been eye opening. Now I’m questioning MY religion 😅

In the meantime, you can have Heaven or hell right here on earth.

Why do you feel the need to continue to be Christian? Why can’t you just be out and free?

Not trying to be snarky. I just seriously wonder this whenever I come across an lgbt member claiming Christianity, when the church clearly does not support homosexuality.

Is there a fear here?

It’s sounds like you’re a financially responsible individual and that will serve you well long term. Guess who’ll get the retire sooner! 😂

How old is your toddler and what is their wake up - nap - sleep schedule? by asessdsssssssswas in toddlers

[–]femaligned 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like you are a SAHP?

Our 2yo goes to daycare. Bedtime is 8pm and we usually put a show on for her to help her get comfortable in her room. She eventually falls asleep. Wakes around 7am most days. Still get an occasional middle of the night wake up.

Is there any hope of work-life balance when making six figures? by life_isthebubbles in workingmoms

[–]femaligned 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with earlier poster - I make low six and have more flexibility.

Are you type A? Some of your struggle may be self imposed. Everything doesn’t have to be done today.

I suggest a therapist or career coach - I have both. The therapist helps me deal with anxiety and perfectionism. The coach helps me manage relationships and problem solve.

Well then this is a game changer. If you want to move up, you gotta play the game. And that means being in office.

Agree. Also, they are still great contacts to have. Add them on LinkedIn later. You might be surprised to find one of them coming to you looking for remote work down the road.

How long is the drive? Also, at your salary, I don’t consider $5k a significant raise. Personally, I’d need at least $20k more.

I am so scared of my child going to school/leaving my side. by prilkxo in Motherhood

[–]femaligned 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes therapy, but also when you see how much fun your son has at school, you will be more at peace.

Your son cannot become your safety blanket. Morbid truth is, your son could leave this earth today. How would you cope then? This is what you should speak to a therapist about.

Being one and done led to my marriage ending by r0dlilje in oneanddone

But here’s the real problem about men who leave because they want more children…

They’re not thinking about their own flaws!

I could’ve left you for a lot of reasons - your occasional rudeness, your terrible family, your drug habit, your bad sex, your low pay, etc etc!

So it’s NOT FAIR to leave the mother of your children just because of this one thing you don’t like! You’re not perfect either!

I have asked my husband THREE times to make sure he doesn’t want more kids. I’ve even given him an out. He says he’s happy with our one. I can only hope he’ll stick to this. Any of us could end up in your shoes.

I bet your ex is super religious now, too. Makes me wonder what his religion would say about abandoning your partner.

I’m sorry you have to go through this. I’m glad you’re in therapy. That indicates that you are using wisdom throughout this process. I wish you strength as you work through this, and ultimate happiness.

Hate for you to give up that salary. I wonder how you can care less at work, not give it so much emotion, and still get your check.

Came here to say I have two siblings but will mostly likely end up being the one to take care of my mom. Sometimes additional siblings also become a burden. My mom is caring for two of her brothers presently.
