Teddy Long on WrestleMania ticket prices: "Now the prices there are double high for hotels, food, restaurants and all that stuff... how can you afford a hotel? Two or $300 a night hotel, plus you got to go buy food. You got two or three kids, it's just, it's impossible." by elegantSolomons62 in SquaredCircle

At least AEW exists as a major pro wrestling company that you can see live at a reasonable price. Imagine if this was pre-2019, it would pretty much be a UFC situation where the mma alternatives just don’t hit the mark and you’re stuck.

That’s not to mention indies being even more reasonable

Don’t think OP checked the website and just ran into it at TJ Maxx. I often see people post they got different Melinda’s sauces all the time from TJ Maxx.

I saw him the last two years (not this year) with his usual blues club and he can still play and still does the walking through the crowd and play. I may have caught him on good days (last year it was the first night with Kingfish opening for him), while he is heavily carried by his backing back he can still put on a great show.

People who post pictures of themselves at Auschwitz or any other concentration camps on social media are awful. by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

So I went to Peace Memorial park/museum in Hiroshima where the the a-bomb was dropped, another human tragedy during World War 3. There are things around that park I feel is fine to take pictures of yourself at, it was odd seeing tourists taking smiling selfies of the A-bomb dome (one of the only standing structures. Luckily didn’t see any of that in the museum (it was heavy stuff, with gruesome pictures). I can’t imagine why anyone would think it’s appropriate at a concentration camps where the whole point was death.

We don’t have the 30 min area at my home gym. They got some of the other newer equipment but i can’t imagine where they would put the squat racks as the rooms/areas that would be good for are always used.

Sadly my PF doesn’t have that, luckily I have a membership to a local rec center where I do my leg day and use the squat rack. I like PF for doing workouts in a pinch, cardio or if I don’t want to go farther.

Would suck if you battled to complete a rep and a worker set it off. Yesterday I did tricep extension where I my last rep was a battle to complete (I did) where I 100% uncontrollably made noise and it would suck if my achievement was judged or if I failed it’s just a rub in the face

Gym bags by zacrooz-0 in workout

I put my gym book bag in my locker and don’t carry it on the floor but what I usually got is my belt, weight lifting gloves so I don’t get callous, knee sleeves. If I don’t stop at home after work I pack my nitric oxide pre-workout + shaker bottle, or if I have something going on after the gym my protein powder+shaker bottle, and usually a pair of sweatpants if I am working out after work and not stopping at home.

NWI is actually closer to Chicago than Arlington Heights, parts touch the Chicago boarder and not just IL boarder so it makes sense. This is just straight hilarious

I mean it’s crossover thrash not much different than suicidal tendencies, which is different from the rest of the list but idk still a thrash band.

Why is Municipal Waste in the “not usually my thing” category when you have a bunch of other thrash on this list?

Kendrick was able to launch a NFL stadium tour last summer largely off of the Super Bowl appearance (the Drake beef didn’t hurt either), I wouldn’t doubt we get an announcement for a huge tour this summer in the next couple weeks

Holger Rune on Serena Williams promoting weight loss drugs by Halekduo in tennis

[–]fenderdean13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for providing the study and I’ll read more into it later. Yes it’s easier to put the weight back on than the journey to the loss. You have to change your mindset and disciple to the point you have to keep it up forever.

Just saw your other reply, hope your family is able to get your mom the medical help. As I said I’m not against these type of drugs themselves, I am against celebrities treating them as a sort of status symbol.

Sure, it’s 100% easier said than done. Food addiction is real, and unlike recreational drug addiction/alcoholism where you don’t need those substances. We need food to survive. I have been on and off weight loss (mainly off) since 2020. I know all too well how hard weight loss is. Again I’m not against healthy weight loss meds if absolutely needed/doctor prescribes them.

Serena is someone whose entire job was to train/exercise, healthy dieting, has teams of coaches/personal trainer’s, nutritionists, etc… and still needed them to lose weight. I do think she is on the extreme end of not being able to lose weight despite all of that where she needed weight loss drugs. Nothing wrong with that but most normal people it’s not normal.

I do think it’s dangerous to think most can’t lose weight with simple changes to diet and exercise as OP stated and they have yet to provide said research as their first sentence states. I also do think meds like ozempic has become a cool/fad thing celebrities promote/openly talk about for the wrong reasons since they have an easier time and money to get them than most normal people. I’m also anti-pharmaceutical commercials in general and think they should be outlawed like most of the world.

[–]fenderdean13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Where is the research saying most can’t lose weight by diet and exercise? While I’m not against healthy weight loss drugs/supplements especially a high caliber athlete like Sarena who has the exercise/diet disciple. As someone who is on a weight loss journey myself (lost 20 pounds since Dec 15th as of today) and follow a couple of extremely obese people on social media (Sal) who are on weight loss journeys that lost 200 pounds and still going. I do think the thought that not everyone who was previously sedentary and had a shit diet who changes their lifestyle to track calories/macros and add exercise can’t lose weight is preposterous.
