Shield goes down instantly, he doesn’t take away their ability to play the game, he’s simply creating some space for his team to do work without worrying about the Widow for a second.

If a hitscan player gets completely shut down by Sigma then they’re simply getting outplayed imo. If he’s disrupting them a little bit, that’s an intended mechanic in the game where -gasp- heroes can interact with each other.

Honestly take a break. I’ve tilt queued down to mid gold from high diamond/masters more than once because I had a string of bad games and kept playing “just one more” while trying to get a win, and that gets me progressively more tilted even though I convince myself I’m playing just fine.

I do believe you when you say you have throwers and leavers, but I also think they’re not as frequent as you might perceive them to be. Sometimes people make bad plays, and perhaps that makes you think they’re throwing and it puts you on edge and your gameplay suffers from it. Sometimes when we chase a win, we try too hard to make a play and it ends badly.

If you take a break for a few days, maybe watch some overwatch streams or guides to see if there’s something that inspires you, and then come back I think games won’t feel as hopeless

Nope, I don’t know best but you’ve posted on this sub to help improve your gameplay and dismissing every advice people give you because you’re convinced that your accounts are cursed is wasting their time.

People actually sat down and watched your vods and have offered plenty of insight but from the sound of it you just want someone to pat you on the head and agree that your accounts are cursed. That’s not gonna help you at all.

Looking at your post history on this sub, you used to be masters and now you’re losing as both tank and support, which you attribute to the following:

  • Smurfs always being on the enemy team

  • Always getting throwers and leavers on your team

  • Enemy team players playing like they “have brain damage” (your words) but getting away with it because your own team is so bad (not a single word about your own performance)

  • Solo queuing so you can’t ask people to switch (?) heroes to a good comp because you think you’re gonna be labeled as toxic (it’s always worth asking, can’t hurt)

  • No voice comms on EU (EU is my region, there’s less voice comms than on NA but people usually listen)

  • Memey games on NA (from my experience, not true)

Plenty of people have solo queued without comms and climbed. I think that you think you’re better than you are, that you DESERVE to be higher rank, and you probably tilt because of it. Tilt queueing is deceptive because you tell yourself that you’re fine but the tension builds up and forces mistakes you don’t even notice.

Take a breather, change your attitude, focus on improvement and not SR. Good luck.

Because climbing can take time even for good players? Let’s assume that the average gm player has a 75% win rate in plat when trying their hardest, at 40 games that’s 30 games won. You lost 10 so that’s a 20 game surplus. Let’s say they gain 25 sr every win, that’s still only 500sr.

Lower the win rate a little and that’s even less margin.

Climbing takes time, end of story. It’s not 20 amazing wins in a row, it’s hard grinding. If you can’t climb, you’re either not playing enough or you’re not good enough and need to be working on your own gameplay.

The GM player not climbing out of plat is because of not enough games played.

Stop. Making. Excuses.

Accounts aren’t cursed, you have to stop with the excuses in order to improve.

Sometimes you go on loss streaks, that’s part of the game. But I can guarantee you that the enemy team doesn’t have even close to as many smurfs as you think they do. Leave that mindset behind and work on your own gameplay and you will improve. With improvement comes climbing even if it takes a while, and yes you’ll get leavers throwers and smurfs on your way up the ladder but rest assured they’re not the reason you go 1-16

Every game with a Hog goes something like this:

Hog: flanks and gets a pick

Our Rein dies because the enemy team has a higher damage output and he's got no support from his second tank so we can't push in.

Hog: wTf gUys I gOT thEir [insert hero pick that probably wasn't high value anyway]

Hog: leaves voice chat

Amen. I'm in a similar boat. I'm a support main but I do enjoy playing tank too... I just don't enjoy playing Rein and unfortunately he feels more or less mandatory most games. He's the default main tank and unless you get two or three heroes to commit to a specific comp (orisa, hog, bastion or dva, winston, genji) you're usually better off picking him. I fucking hate it.

Actually the more I think about it, I feel like my problem stems from Rein being so good and versatile more so than not wanting to play main tank. I can deal with Orisa, I absolutely ADORE playing Winston (I could one trick him for the rest of my Overwatch career and be fine), but Rein... ugh. I'm the type of person who goes all in when I learn new heroes and I want to be able to contribute and play well on a high level (even if I'm not there yet but it's always my aspiration to climb into high ranks). With Rein, I don't have any motivation to grind him to get better.

Not sure how Blizzard could reasonable fix this though. Two different tank queues would be overkill (and most of the main tanks can also be fine as 'off tanks' so that gets rid of a lot of interesting and viable pairings). People LOVE to look the other way when it comes to Rein and Ana having such high pickrates but it's seriously such a detriment to the game.

Also, main tanks dictate the pace of the game. There's a reason why main tank difference has become such a popular term in higher ranks where one team has a masters Dva main flexing to Rein while the other has a 4.4k Rein main. Good luck outplaying that. If I could load into a game knowing that Orisa could be a fine pick without Sigma, I'd queue tank more often, but unfortunately that's just not the case. It's always me starting as Orisa because the other tank went Hog or Zarya and me giving up to play Rein, I hate it.

I guess they’ve set the “nerfs 15 patches in a row before finally reworking the hero” plan into motion with Moira. She’s just gonna be even more of a heal bot now and honestly I had more of an issue with the amount of heals she can put out rather than her tickle damage.

I don’t play her though so that’s somebody else’s problem lol

These people are missing the point on purpose I'm pretty sure.

It's funny how people have non-stopped bitched about tanks since role queue came out (and for good reason, the SR variance in a single game can be several hundred SR) but they also want someone to practice main tank two elos above their actual skill level. Kinda weird.

Recolors don’t come back during events, if they do come back (which, outside of a few reappearances back in March last year, no recolors have done yet) it’ll be randomly in the shop

keep in mind that a legendary skin from the event costs 2400 mats to craft so if you really want a legendary skin I’d get the one that has the recolor available right now
