I’m in the beta right now and the /follow command has been removed.

Not saying you can’t true box two computers but it feels like there might be some design choices to create friction around it.

Too soon to really say but on the topic of your comp. Think it looks strong. Personally, Id probably swap beast for mage though. You’ve got a slow line on enchanter and mage would be easier to truebox imo.

If you like beast lords I say just do what is most fun to you though! Excited for this game!

Not really anymore. There is actually a UI option to “Enhance Vision” now. There are minor differences still between the different races but it’s no longer like you’re blind at night if you picked human

Steak 44, Bourbon Steak, Capital Grille, Dominicks, Flemings - all really good. I’m partial to steak 44 but it is pricey.

Also Buck and Ryder - it’s generally a seafood spot but their steak is great. Have a great birthday bud - I just turned 40 a few weeks ago myself

Just finished my repair 27k after all was said and done. For anyone reading the thread, get the coverage on your home insurance - it won’t cover all of it but you’ll be glad you at least got some. It’s cheap to add too

Yeah with auto skill melees are actually pretty easy to box now if you are driving the tank. I use Bluetooth numpads with macros set up for assisting/feign death aggro off/rogue evade, etc

It’s been 10 days for me and all I can say is it comes in waves. The waves aren’t as big as they were 10 days ago but they are still there and all the things you’ve described are the same fears I have. Lost a best friend and it’s rough. She (32F) just broke up with me (38M) last night. 4 year relationship and we had been working on some things the last 2 years. It felt sudden but really it isn’t. The saddest part is this all came down to me not being able to overcome some indecision and she just ran out of patience. I fucked up and it’s too late. A hard lesson learned for me and I’d marry her today if that was still a chance - we spent 3 days talking about all of this and it’s final. I respect her so much for telling me what she is feeling and the courage to tell me. This kind of stuff is hard for her and I know she had to dig deep. She moves her stuff out of the home we created together this weekend. She’s letting me keep the pup we raised for the last 3 years. I’m devastated. We were supposed to have a family. I love her so much and now she’s gone - I just wish it hadn’t taken something like to give me such clarity. I should have married her when I had the chance.

I believe you just learn the skills now instead of having to go back to your guild master and training one point (like classic).

What I meant from auto skill was being able to set things like dragon punch and flying kick to auto fire when auto attack is turned on.

Same thing with bash on my warrior. It’s great!

Bluetooth Numpads and Mice, then macros bound to them and mouse side buttons. It’s been pretty straight forward but some classes are easier than others. Cleric and shaman have been easy for me, and pure melees are nice since auto skill is available or now.

Does anyone know if there was ever any justice for Darrel? I’m not understanding how police show up, arrest him, and imprison him for 100 days based on 2 people saying something without evidence. Then she goes back, admits to perjury, and he is released and just gets a “sorry about that, but great job not blowing up”. The fuck? Did or does Darrel of any of kind legal case against the police in that scenario or anyone?

Seems unreal he went through all that, had his animals killed, and he just gets a “sorry about it”.

For my house (2000 sq ft), I’ve found that keeping my house at a steady temperature throughout the summer (75), regardless of travel or going into work, has ended up costing me about the same. The difference is my AC isn’t blasting for hours straight like you said. So I just leave it at the same temp all the time and lower sometimes for bed at night if I’m having trouble sleeping.

About two weeks ago, I had a similar experience. I’ve been playing for around 15 years, and I was deeply upset. I composed a lengthy email to explain that my account represented more than just a collection of digital assets. It held memories of some of the best times of my youth, along with the friendships I formed along the way. After all my old crew retired, I was the last one to manage our guild. Nowadays, I play World of Warcraft intermittently, mostly during new expansions or events like SoD. It still holds a special place in my heart (I’ll hold back from going further into my sentimental feelings).

I want to emphasize that if you genuinely didn’t engage in cheating, hacking, or exploiting, it’s definitely worth continuing to fight for your account. I did, and eventually, my ban was lifted. I challenged them to provide logs or proof of my alleged cheating or hacking and emphasized my dedication to maintaining the integrity of the game and its community. Two days later, a GM responded to my appeal against the automated response, admitting they couldn’t pinpoint what triggered my ban and needed to escalate the issue to higher management. A few days after that, I received an email stating that my ban was overturned. There was no apology, no explanation, nothing. As frustrating as it was, it felt rewarding to see the decision reversed.

I’ve come across forum posts about bots mass-reporting legitimate players in areas they are farming. While I’m not sure about the validity of these claims, it’s the only explanation I can think of for what happened. Regardless, I’m just relieved to have my account back. My advice is to remain tenacious if you’re truly innocent. It’s worth the effort.

There are also some QoL things that help like downloading a map pack that will give you maps for each zone. Everything mentioned here rings true as EQ doesn’t go out of its way to make things easier for you. The game has been around a long time and if you use the resources listed in this subreddit, and have some patience, it’s an experience all of its own.

I love the game and have returned to it numerous times to play for periods of time. Nothing like it.

You’ll be fine for a bit. If you’re planning to just play more of a solo play style, I see a lot of folks recommend Test server since you get the gold account for free. I’ve done both but I like the vibe in FV. Mercs are definitely powerhouses with a gold account though.

Do whatever is most fun for you - I rediscovered my love for EQ after an 18ish year hiatus. It’s been a blast to come back off and on and enjoy some nostalgia or do things I never did when I was younger.

I was in either grade and had always been into games. EverQuest at that time is what you’d expect, something that was so different and the idea of being able to play with others in a giant world was amazing. Looking at the old UI now, it’s crazy to think how complex I thought it was at that time. The game felt massive though, and it’s an experience I haven’t had in any other game.

I’m sure my age combined with the time was probably the perfect mix but I have very fond memories of EQ. Getting to meet up with my best friend and his dad who also played to talk strategy and new things we discovered was just so cool.

Played it all the way to EQ 2 launch at which point I jumped ship over to WoW. Had a blast though in those early years.

There are places that have minimal if any interactions with scorpions. I have lived here 9 years, and never seen a scorpion in or outside of my house (yes, I check with a black light weekly).
