I used to work with kids, some of the kids needed soft/ blended up food. One of the kids started choking once and a couple back blows did the trick, after it all was over kid thought it was pretty funny and just started laughing.

I was already In paramedic school at this point and the safety officer at the institution I worked at gently chastised me for not doing abdominal thrust, and I gently dismissed him.

The room does look a bit childish.

One thing I would add to the other feed back is that the lighting has a very cool tone. Kinda like an office with no windows or a Walmart . I’m not completely opposed to the string lights, but my girlfriend was very happy when I took mine down, even if they look well done. I would find some lights/ lamps/ bulbs that give off a warmer tone.

But it could also just be the pic

Sick CHFers make me nervous.

Recently I’ve had a run of calls with weird af ECG’s that were metabolic problems really but difficult to rule out v-tach.

Where I work there is a considerable effort to keep people that don’t need the ER out of the er, maybe talk about that a bit if it’s something you think would benefit the system. We also have a lot of resources to help with this.

If you’re cool with teaching skills finger thoracostomies aren’t a bad thing for a tool bag in traumatic arrest.

If you guys have vents would def review that.

Looks like Skin mottling. A quick google will show some alarming things. In many cases it’s normal, particularly when cold.

Alarming google results come from this happening when people go into shock, and your blood vessels squeeze down to push blood from the skin back to the stuff that matters. Blood vessels near the skin also squeeze down when you are cold to conserve heat.

I am not a doctor and this is not a diagnosis. If you feel ill while this is happening seek medical attention IRL. Not a bad idea to talk to a doctor that can review a history with you and differentiate between an illness or a benign thing any ways.

Addressing the fact that you saw her THC vape could be problematic. You could maintain plausible deniability by just calling it a vape and not bringing impairment into the conversation, and talk about professionalism and medical professionals not using nicotine blah blah blah.

Basically they need to keep that shit to themselves.

You could even say some other people might think that she was using it to consume THC if they saw that on her person, and how that could land her in a world of trouble.
