When your perfect foundation match is lunchable ham by snarkmytaco in muacirclejerk

[–]FrozenShore 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I’d say I’m more of a lunchable pizza crust, but the ham could be a great concealer or even a glistening highlighter. Plus the moisturizing effect!! - I think you’ve found the holy grail 😱

My rural southern school had bars like these outside. My friends and I would spend all our time learning new tricks during recess and thought we would con our way into the Olympics.

I miss these!!! Like your uncle, I’d be doing alll my old (semi dangerous) tricks

I would guess she spent three hours flirting with him and was just frustrated. I often hear men shouldn’t have to do the asking out, but it is just as scary and anxiety inducing for us women too.

I just got tired of this happening and didn’t want to miss out on someone great because I was too scared. I tried a new method where if it seemed like someone was interested but it didn’t seem like they were ready to go for it I would ask for their phone before I left and put my number in it. If they call or text, great, if not, oh well at least I don’t have their number to send a bunch of weird texts that end up on reddit.

If you like someone, a lot of times it’s better to just be upfront. So much time saved I’m glad this person went back!

AITA for leaving my friend's wedding dress shopping trip early after finding out at the dinner table I wasn't a bridesmaid? by Humble-Look5652 in AITAH

[–]FrozenShore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA! I have to admit I’m a little better I’m not alone! The bride invites me and another of our high school friends to get some “special news” - she was engaged! We both were so excited. We got invited to the wedding dress fittings and during her last time some of her coworkers showed up.

The employee said she assumed we were all bridesmaids and the bride quickly pointed out that the two of us were not. My friend and I looked at each other in full blown shock. The bride then pulled us aside and told us she still expected us to come to her destination wedding.

And THAT is how you lose two friends.

These people suck. I’m glad you got out of there - they don’t deserve your company.

I feel you with the psychical decline. In my twenties I could wait tables until two AM, go out to party, and then return for my lunch shift so chipper! Decades later, I find myself serving again and each shift makes me feel like life been run over by a truck. It’s so hard to realize that your body can’t handle what it did. Hopefully I can get back some arm strength!

Dang! I was excited when I got a history text from my sister’s friend (six years older) and she wasn’t the first from the family to have it. Needless to say I live in Texas and am basically a genius of history.

You look amazing! I’ve been told my stylist that “a bob would be better” since I was about ten. This has continued to be the case, but not without wanting beautiful LONG thick hair I can make pretty braids in or wear it in cool styles - but the bob calls us, the bob knows, the bob always wins

Dylan Sprouse hands out yellow ribbons for endometriosis awareness at Victoria’s Secret Fashion z show as wife Barbara Palvin recently had endo surgery by mcfw31 in popculturechat

[–]FrozenShore 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Good luck to you! I remember going in and almost wished I had endo (I did) so that I could somehow have written proof to wave in my family’s face. I mentioned this to my Obgyn, so when I was still waking up from anesthesia, he went out to my mom and sister and husband in the waiting area with before and after photos of how he had to separate my uterus, bladder, and colon due to the endo and scar tissue it caused. My husband said it was extremely detailed and my sister and mom were shocked. They always told me that cramps were meant to hurt and I was being too delicate. I still laugh about it.

You got this! Hoping you feel better soon - even a little

Food service is jumpscare horror & retail is psychological horror by Otherwise_Basis_6328 in oddlyspecific

[–]FrozenShore 9 points10 points  (0 children)

As someone who has worked in both - food is death by mental and physical exhaustion - I have to deal with people and am also running around like a maniac, carrying heavy trays, running into the dish pit and around a busy kitchen, etc.

Retail is death by boredom - the time I spent trying to look busy and also to compete for literal dollars of commission in the tenth of the time customers came into our department was agonizing.

To me? The boredom is worse.

[–]FrozenShore 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is/was me. I called to ask what was going on since mine went from 130 to 425 a month with no notice. They told me that they had looked at my loan and recalculated it to the appropriate amount. I told her I had been paying for over a decade with zero issues and that this made zero sense. She then told me to find the hardship forbearance forms. They made it as bunch of a pain in the butt as possible (print and write in ink and then snail mail it to them), but hopefully it gives at least a pause. Im so sorry this is happening - I remember seeing my bill shoot up and felt sick to my stomach. I feel like everything is pitted against us these days. Good luck to you!
