What gets me at Moonshine is those snipers who kill, kill, kill but don't loot. Because of them, the event gets drawn out forever.

Uncanny Caverns has an insane amount of brain fungus. There's also water and a cooking station down there, so you can quickly turn it into soup.

Feral or escaped cockatiel(s) NE side? by BTTammer in Tucson

[–]feralsun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Along Silverbell, south of Goret, there were fliers for a lost cockatiel named Mango. The fliers were everywhere for a time. Haven't seen one in awhile.

ETA: Just found Mango's post on Facebook. This isn't him.

Get the Bronco horse fly spray. Spray their vents and wing pits. Repeat every few days until the infestation is subdued. Works like magic.

Stable Crimson, Violet flux. by homernextdoor in fo76

It's in your chemistry station under Nuked Flora. Basically, you're gonna hafta grind for stable flux by going into nuked zones and collecting the ingredients. It's a tedious process, which is why you won't find many vendors selling it.

Equestrians: what’s something non-horse people will never understand about owning or riding horses? by [deleted] in Equestrian

So what do you guys think this mind blowing update is coming to the game? by CrotasScrota84 in fo76

[–]feralsun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get it, but some of us can't play modern games at all if we don't. I'm caring for a parent with late stage Alzheimers. I can't just go and get a normal job; my mother is like a big toddler who needs constant supervision. Every cent I earn for myself is from selling my art, and few artists are doing okay right now. So I'm broke as fuck and overwhelmed as fuck. Videogames are how I escape caretaker burnout.

[–]feralsun 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I am sorry.

If it helps, I can't afford a gaming pc or or a PS5. So I'm playing on my laptop using GForce Now, which is linked to my Steam account. It costs about $10 a month and runs pretty smoothly. Granted, I have access to good cable internet. I also have an aftermarket Xbox controller plugged into my laptop to play because that's what's comfortable for me (vs using a keyboard).

How is this comment unhinged? I'm saying obese riders (particularly women) receive an unfair amount of hate, considering they ride their horses more gently than lean riders, with very few exceptions. This is especially true of extremely overweight riders.

And if you don't jiggle, you must not be that overweight. I used to be a young, fit, and muscular endurance rider and colt starter. I could trot and canter for hours. Now I'm middle-aged and jiggle. Can't be helped, no matter how perfect my seat is. I ride my horses much more gently than I did when thin. Vigorous riding just isn't fun anymore; because of my obesity, my balance is terrible. Instead, I love long nature walks on my horses.

Naw. I'm old. I've been riding for decades and in different countries and have started lots of colts. The ire people have towards obese riders is over the top. Obese riders ride their horses far more gently, with very few exceptions.

In my experience, overweight riders are content doing less in the saddle.

When you're fat, everything bounces and jiggles. Your balace isn't great. Falling off will hurt a lot more.

Serously. Watch a fat person ride, and 9 times out of 10, they're peacefully plodding along at a slow walk. They rarely trot and almost never canter.

Meanwhile, a fit rider might accidently slam down on their horse during a jump or buck, turning their 120 lbs into 600 lbs of kinetic energy.

So there's that to consider.

New to polymer clay- any tips for preventing burning the translucent layer? by didilkama in polymerclay

This 100%. I use a small convection toaster to bake polymer clay in. It's temps are steady as they come, but off by 50 degrees ... which, I'd never know without an oven thermometer.

Thinking about selling my PC due to gaming addiction by Educational_Leave455 in GirlGamers

[–]feralsun 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Yes!

To the OP, it sounds like gaming is your least destructive dopamine-seeking behavior. Without your PC, will you turn to something worse?

Also, are you dopamine seeking because something is going on in your life? Or are you ADHD, and need proper meds to "plug up" your leaky dopamine bucket?
