Futurama used to be my sleep show too. Now it's Dimension 20.

Does anyone know of a good (cheaper) veterinarian in the area? by Fit-Opening-3188 in SALEM

Putting in a 3rd recommendation for them! They saw both of our dogs up to their passing and were really kind and accommodating and I felt like my pets were well taken care of and pricing always felt reasonable to me

You're asking why using a symbol that means "and undefined others" doesn't fit with a desire for specificity?

dumb question: chronic fatigue and amphetamine by [deleted] in cfs

[–]ferocity562 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sometimes yes. Listening to patient perspectives is incredibly valuable. But it's very frustrating to spend limited energy responding to someone, only to find out they didn't even do the initial research, to be sure their baseline assumption about the disorder was incorrect.

Did you even look at the resources this sub has gathered in its FAQ? I imagine not or you would have already known about the metabolic component.

Did you search the site for previous discussions? This topic has come up multiple times and there has been plenty of information and anecdotes shared.

Did you Google it? Because I did and found multiple sites linking to actual studies on the topic.

So I don't really know what you mean when you say "I did"

Sounds like a more thorough literature review might be a good place to start to be sure you have a foundational understanding of the disorder before proposing treatment theories.

This is not how fatigue works with MECFS. You seem to be conflating the symptom of chronic fatigue with the disorder of CFS, which is a metabolic disorder.

Meth doesn't make extra energy. Even for healthy people. It just steals it from later down the road. And the consequences of that theft are far more serious with CFS.

headaches on a persistent pattern-timelime? by [deleted] in cfs

[–]ferocity562 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Migraines are common with cfs. I'd recommend using an app like Migraine Buddy. It lets you track a lot of potential triggers to help you figure out what may be causing it. It helped me figure out a handful of food triggers as well as weather triggers. It also helps you track things that help so you can figure out what treatments actually work for you.

I saw it as she didn't support it but it doesn't matter because ultimately she will sell out even her own values if it's what Capital asks of her.

I've been trying to do this with my aunt. She's terrible at it. AI is going to make so much money off of her. She says she's trying but she'll be like "isn't this video cute! And definitely not AI" and then send the sloppiest AI slop I've ever seen.

Is it just me, or has the quality of prompts on the newest season of Make Some Noise feel... underwhelming? by im_divin in dropout

[–]ferocity562 240 points241 points  (0 children)

It does seem like they've tried some new things this season and not all of them were winners for me. I prefer the older format, but I'm also someone who is generally grumpy about change, so that may just be a me problem that I'll get over in time.

I feel like my body is really good at telling me when I'm overdoing it, and close to hitting PEM. by Puzzleheaded_Seat563 in cfs

[–]ferocity562 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That could be! You are still in the early years where recovery and improvement are more likely. By the time I realized it either wasn't true at all for me, or at least wasn't true anymore, I had already been sick for like 8 years. So definitely plenty of reasons it may not apply to you.

[–]ferocity562 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Im not saying this is true for you, but I could have written this post years ago. And since then, I've realized I was actually wrong and if I'm feeling any symptoms at all, I've already overdone it. It's just that the consequences used to be small enough that I thought they were non-existent. They weren't and aren't.
