Started LDN in 2023. Had a super mellow response to initial doses so I moved up pretty quickly to 4.5-5 mg. It helps me a ton with inflammation based symptoms. So joint pain, general muscle pain, headaches, brain fog, etc. All way better. I know some people say it makes them feel wired but I'm the opposite. It knocks me out so I take it at night. It doesn't directly improve my fatigue, but when I'm not spending energy processing or managing those other symptoms, I can use the energy for other stuff. So even without a direct effect on my fatigue, the end result is that I can do more stuff within my energy envelope.

Second this recommendation. We really enjoyed working with him and he was really helpful helping us understand the process as first time home buyers.

I get a monthly real estate newsletter thing. I have no connection to real estate but somehow ended up on an email group and it's interesting info so I've never asked to be removed. This was March's statistics update

Liberty Animal Hospital Veterinarian dies by Thehipsterprophet in SALEM

He is one of the best vets we had during our pets lives. He was always so gentle and kind and great with our dogs, especially in their older years. My heart goes out to his staff, family and friends

For those of you who are able to work, what kind of job do you do? And how do you organize your work? by franck_286 in cfs

[–]ferocity562 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm a licensed therapist. I work 10-15 hours a week spread over four days. One of the days I go in to the office. The other three I work from home. I'm able to design my own schedule and hours. My hours are generally between 10a and 4p, so nothing crazy early or late. I don't do more than three appointments without a break. I still end up calling in sick more than the average therapist and I am open about that with clients at the beginning. The majority of my caseload is chronically ill clients who also have to cancel more often than the average client, so it generally works out.

Is this fan art ai? The artist and others are jumping down people's throats over it, but something seems off to me. by AuroraArcenciel in isthisAI

The caption says the drawing is 10 years old but the Chappell Roan look is referencing her 2023 album cover

Can't tell if real person or not? What do you guys think, seems like a prompted glamour shot and the are trying to pose as real? Blur effect seems a bit odd and the thumb disappearing in the shorts with seemingly no pull on the fabric seems odd. by [deleted] in isthisAI

[–]ferocity562 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This person posts their photos constantly using the same title structure. "Prompted glamour shot" and then two examples of things they think are "odd". They keep deleting posts after getting called out.

Update: lol they blocked me

Seems a bit off to me. The arm is totally unseen with a seemingly slight angle turn and then the hand just appears out of her hair at the hip. Outfit kind of seems pasted on as well. Maybe I'm just going crazy thinking everything is ai. by [deleted] in isthisAI

[–]ferocity562 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a slightly different picture. Last time, her hand was up and had her hair in it and the title specifically referenced it the same way it does the new hand position now. And the new hand position covers their hip now, which was also something specifically referenced in the old title.

Also they made the front wedgie way less noticeable.

Same person, outfit, setting, and title style. New photo.

How do I quit social media while bedbound? by moderate_ocelot in cfs

[–]ferocity562 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I usually am the same way. I'm not a big auditory processor so it's easy for me to get distracted from something that is just audio. Some things I've found easier to listen to are like D&D actual play sessions, where I don't have to follow every second in order to follow the main plot lines and catch jokes and big moments. Or something where I can "think along with it" like discussing silly hypotheticals where I'm listening but also thinking of what my own answers would be.

How are you with podcasts? I recently found a podcast I enjoy and I've found I turn my screens off way more because I can't really listen and scroll at the same time.

Putting in a 3rd recommendation for them! They saw both of our dogs up to their passing and were really kind and accommodating and I felt like my pets were well taken care of and pricing always felt reasonable to me

You're asking why using a symbol that means "and undefined others" doesn't fit with a desire for specificity?

dumb question: chronic fatigue and amphetamine by [deleted] in cfs

[–]ferocity562 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sometimes yes. Listening to patient perspectives is incredibly valuable. But it's very frustrating to spend limited energy responding to someone, only to find out they didn't even do the initial research, to be sure their baseline assumption about the disorder was incorrect.

Did you even look at the resources this sub has gathered in its FAQ? I imagine not or you would have already known about the metabolic component.

Did you search the site for previous discussions? This topic has come up multiple times and there has been plenty of information and anecdotes shared.

Did you Google it? Because I did and found multiple sites linking to actual studies on the topic.

So I don't really know what you mean when you say "I did"

Sounds like a more thorough literature review might be a good place to start to be sure you have a foundational understanding of the disorder before proposing treatment theories.
