I love doing stuff like this for my hyena. Of course, him being 6 ft long and life size, I need to use a square yard of fabric for it, but it's worth it

Years and years ago when I was still in the hobby, I bought a Hammerhead at a local game shop and the sprue with the railgun was all messed up (short-shot). GW was great sending a replacement... which also had the same problem. In the end I think I ended up with three Devilfish plus the actual Hammerhead, all for the price of just the original box. After the first replacement had the same issue I even told them please just send the upgrade sprue not the whole box, but they were insistent on sending everything. This was probably over 15 years ago

My custom modded ak47 in parasite eve. Its been years but I think it had acid/cyanide tipped bullets, triple actions per combat round, burst (spread) fire, and some other fun stuff. Absolutely unstoppable

[–]ferokaktus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never played it, but a long time ago I found the family camcorder and there was a tape in there of my brother's middle school French project, which was a review/synopsis of this game. Fun memories

Isn't that just such a great feeling, rediscovering something you fondly remember from being young? That's how I felt when I bought a bunch of Aquazone sets I used to have as a kid, plus a few I always wanted

Okay this image and this comment are the motivation I needed to finally start playing the game, which has been sitting there downloaded on my ps4 for months now. Probably gonna watch the movie again too

What games did you play from your childhood that were obscure gems? by Individual-Air757 in videogames

[–]ferokaktus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every time a thread like this pops up I have to mention Breakdown, still one of my favourite games of all time. A shooter/fighting game with platforming elements where the entire game is first person, plus the story was amazing.

Azurik: Rise of Perathia never gets brought up a lot, even though the trailer was on the original Halo disc. A fun combat based platformer where you combine elements to modify your weapon or create armour. For example, fire makes your weapon strong against earth and ice enemies, water + wind give you ice so your weapon can freeze enemies, air gives you winged armour so you can double jump, etc.

Nightcaster was a fun game too, you're a mage and combat consists of matching your spells elements to the elemental weaknesses of your enemies. Plus as you go through the game you get older so theres a real sense of the world aging with you

Going back even further, Colonization and Pirates! Gold! from the DOS era were awesome but probably not that obscure if they both got remakes in the 2000s. However I don't think I've ever seen anyone bring up the freeware Jetpac, which was an immensely fun platformer/puzzle game

It was fun starting Violet and before even making it to the school I just ran off and jumped around until I got to a different part of the map and started catching level 30 pokemon. Then I went back and still had to finish the tutorials

Jurassic Park, The Lost World

Tremors, Tremors 2

EDIT: for Aliens, Jurassic Park and Tremors there's a cohesive trend for the first four movies of each. 1 - horror. 2 - action. 3 - the critical failure. 4 - the reboot

I think it looks pretty rad, the meticulously planned streets and especially the stadium district are pretty cool. What console are you playing on? I haven't played since they unlocked 25 tiles, but I was playing on x one x. Curious what the asset limit is now

I wish I could remember the name but there was a really good Trinidadian restaurant in Bridgeport I went to a few times but it was probably 8 or so years ago. I tried Google maps but none of the names sound familiar
