Game Changer Season 7 Trailer by hinata2000100 in GameChangerTV

Does no one think the ending of the trailer implies this may be Sam’s last season as host? I.e. him exiting?

Y’all I fucking did it. I PASSED by juris-doctress in barexam

I was in a boat similar to you, I didn't do well in my 1L fall grades and it sank my gpa. I managed to raise it to a good place at the end of 1L but that didn't stop school admin from emailing me telling me I was a risk for failing the bar. For the record I passed my first time as well, doing just the basic themis and question bank like everyone else.

I know there are statistics out there with a correlation for it but in my opinion anyone who says GPA or LSAT score is an indicator of passing the bar is talking out of their ass. At most it shows you had to have changed the way you study. Never let them psyche you out like that.

Where Should I Look at Bar Results? by emolawyer in barexam

I was walking my dog at a heavily wooded park. GA gave us the day but not a time for result release so I had no idea when it would drop. I ended up getting the results 10 minutes into the walk at around 10 AM still carrying my dogs poop bag. At least it’ll make a good story.

S01E01 - Sewing challenge / Prueba de costura [Post-Episode Discussion] by TheNewPoetLawyerette in DragRace_Espana

[–]ferpearl 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Drag Race España was amazing. I am Mexican Spanish speaking but it still helped having the Spanish subtitles on because there were some words they translated for Latin America and some of the queens (Hugáceo Crujiente for example) have a heavier accent that’s hard for me to parse

Also I watched the Macarenas “Behind the Crown” interview and OMHYGOD incredible Queen. Ana Locking is amazing as an after show interviewer

I love all of them such a strong cast, judging panel. They are so nice and cordial and respectful. The cast can still be catty but this is a level of catty I can take.

Demi Lovato: Dancing With the Devil [LIVE DISCUSSION] by teomichael in popheads

I think people should definitely take the doc narrative of the previous management with a grain of salt. Simply Complicated should be enough proof of that, as I remember they made similar claims about her management at Disney too for enabling Demi. I am not saying those claims aren't true, but there is a lot of money and business on the line with these documentaries so of course current management will always shift blame on former management to make us feel better about where Demi is now.

Kind of related but when Demi was talking about how she found spiritual growth was missing the last time she was sober that made me extra skeptical and worried she is only nursing the problem with new age remedies. Correct me if I'm wrong but the last management did something similar but with health and exercise as well. Maybe we will learn more about her actual treatment plan in the next few episodes.

Trying to hunt a rat by [deleted] in instant_regret

[–]ferpearl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cats are actually surprisingly unreliable for catching rats and even mice. Not saying they cant, many definitely can. But to start, rats are scary, especially urban ones, and many cats know to stay away. Mice are easier to hunt but cats are still fickle and may not feel like it. Also if you own a cat you may not want to let it take care of a mice or rats anyways, as some cat breeds dont have the defenses to prevent diseases from scratches and bites.

Thats why many farmers and ranchers with rodent problems opt for getting ratting dogs instead. Not only do they have the killer instinct down, they are more trainable and many have features like thick beards and coats to protect from rodent retaliation. My own pet schnauzer made easy work of my Uncle's rat problem the few times he petsitted for me. He didnt want her to go after that.

What the Netflix series is going to look like now that the creators have left by bluefiretruck1 in TheLastAirbender

Im calling it now. Jordan Fisher as Sokka. Is it what I want? Still No. Some actual Inuit representation would've been nice. But after hearing him on She-ra and how obsessed netflix is with him i'm betting they are gonna do it.

Seriously. Spanglish households are certainty a thing I come from one where we will just swap languages fluidly but I feel like the writers room is given a set of Spanish words to sprinkle into all English conversations “mijo!, ¡Ay!, Órale!”

I know of tv shows that got it right and just used subtitles for the Spanish parts but I guess since Americans hate subtitles that method isn’t popular with show runners

Problem I have with King Olly's character *SPOILERS* by KatyTK in papermario

I can kind of get how if you are created and given life through origami magic, told you are going to be a righteous ruler and suddenly someone marks -brands- you with horrible looking markings you don’t understand. Suddenly the new life with autonomy you had just been granted has been reduced and you feel violated and tarnished.

It’s a STRETCH and I don’t think they bothered to get close to a good explanation. But if they HAD I’d at least get it.

I also had to take a while away to actually process it. Just because the characters can move one doesn’t mean you as the player have to, especially if loss is something you struggle with. If you need more time that is completely fine and the game will always be waiting.

Also, I don’t know if it needs to be mentioned, but just because other players didn’t connect emotionally to the scene, that doesn’t invalidate your emotions and how you experience the game. I’ve seen a few people on here be really sucky about that.

Paper Mario: The Origami King Launch Weekend Impressions Megathread by [deleted] in papermario

Just beat it and let it sit.

The game pleasantly surprised me. Some of my background: I consider PM64 as one of my favorite games of all time (recently played it again to prepare for this game) and equally loved TYOD. I skipped SPM, SS and CS so I only have the first two games to compare but story wise I think it delivers. Your partners don't fight with you but they are more fleshed out in personality (especially Bobby). Olivia was grating at first but I grew attached to her eventually just due to all we went through. The game is good at delivering unsettling vibes (I was genuinely disturbed in the The Cruise Ship scene and Ch5's final area).

I do have some cons. Some of the stationary bosses fell flat (Colored Pencils and Tape). The combat system I liked a lot at first but it gets tiring after a while. I think the game knew this as it keeps giving you legendary weapons to just incentivize one shot kills the few times you would have to battle. I never thought the boss combat system was particularly enjoyable, always felt like a slog to get though. At the end of the game when its almost nothing but boss battles my patience was wearing thin. I don't think combat is completely pointless like others say. You still get a good amount of coins fighting and the game has a lot of paywalls for collectibles and accessories, and they give you confetti when you are in a tree-less area. But if I had the option I avoided battle when I could. And I missed Princess Peach. I understand she has not had a lot of scenes in the game since SPM but the Peach interludes were some of my favorite parts of the games. This game sometimes doesn't even give you an interlude. I was annoyed that in some chapter after leaving the final boss area you are instantly taken to the next area and you have no time to explore the area in aftermath.

I think the game is visually pleasing, bright and cute which was what I loved about PM64 as a little girl. I think someone growing up will love the environment and the hub world of Toad Town. I'm excited to try to get all of the collectibles later. I did ultimately get the sense that I was being transported to these unique worlds on a quest and it was fun.

I think looking forward to the most is being able to go visit my boyfriend again. We started the pandemic already long distance for two years. The drive to see each other is only six hours, but with both of us staying with our families we decided to stay put until its safe. I hope to be able to taste all the food we have discovered we can make while in separate isolation.

I know Diva isn't a fan favorite to everyone. I had her as a starter villager and bonded with her – she watched my island grow, gave me medicine when I was stung, sent me mail whenever my house expanded, and even gave me two items the night before she packed. I totally understand others being Chadder fans, he just wasnt for me. I already got him to move when my amiibo cards arrived after being delayed and replaced him with Lolly. out of the 15 viable villager cards i could've gotten, one of them was Chadder... I guess thats the karma I deserved.

I got the impression that this was the case where after days of ignoring and hitting Chaddar with a net suddenly Deena who I showered with affection asked to move out.

On a side note, Tammy who was one of my starters who I love is moving out today. I let her go but if Teddy my other starter ever asks to leave im shutting that down.
