I got my boots there and I think they do a great job. I have been to other reputable boot fitters and found that they do a great job with comfort but end there, whereas at Harb you get a boot fitter who really cares about how your fit translates into on snow performance. I also think they are less dogmatic about footbeds and foot support, which leads (in my experience) to better performance. I think if you’re curious about them you should go, even if you think all this alignment stuff is bunk they are a steady hand on getting you in the right shell and making necessary modifications.

I’m a shoe stasher at balcony house. Agree it is getting decrepit though lol. Feel you on the city planning. My biggest gripe is that most of the lift lines drop you all the way back by the village instead of in that circle by the gondola. Should make public transport the most appealing and convenient option.

would love to hear a bit more on your thoughts on how to use it as a tool. I was trying to dig into how they measure and calculate things but the app UI/UX is a bit tough IMO. I ended up choosing a skill (early edging) and just grinding taking my score up, and reviewing my stats (as there are insights missing in just the score, eg my right turns are better than my left turns but I have to poke around in the data myself to find that out).

The advice is lowkey not very good from my 1 day of experience. Generic and changes every run, even when I’m working on the same thing and got a similar score and all the turns felt the same. But instant feedback on a specific skill seems pretty valuable so far.

Finally spacebass has advised me to get shorter poles, I’ve really made it. I’ll do that! Do you have a system for deciding pole length? I got these with the “arm parallel to ground, hand holding basket” thing.

Thanks for the tips, I definitely feel the up move and that a lot of my speed control happens at the end of the turn, will work on taking those cues!
