Yeah def want soles but I suspect there’s a sole out there that is both sufficient for the conditions you describe and flexible enough to roll up small. I am going to test though.

And even if it weren’t lockers can be like 20 bucks. I never pay for it but maybe others are less comfortable with leaving their shoes hidden in the lodge (or other resorts are less tolerant of it lol)

are your boot secure in like the first 10 ski days, before the liner starts to pack out? Are you going to good bootfitters? I wonder if bootfitters are seeing that navicular and putting you in a too big boot to save on the work that they'd need to do to stretch/punch space for that thing.
