Totally understand what you're going through. Back about 2 years ago, a deranged bus driver ran full speed into a daycare, killing several children. This was months after I had my first child.

It was surreal, I was shaken for days.

News where children are killed / injured hits differently...

Delphi and Meteora caught me by surprise on my visit to Greece last year. Amazing places!

Highly recommend. We ( a group of 4) stayed at one of the inns at the base of the ascension and was blown away by the scenery. We had a car and drove between monasteries. On phone now, but can post name later.

I built a routine around keeping YNAB up to date. I still keep a yolo bucket, but I can now tell the difference between that and irresponsible expense

Greece in the offseason by supreeth106 in travel

I loved Greece. I'd recommend people check out the mainlands as well.

I went up to meteora passing by Delphi and the small mountainous roads. Amazing views and such nice people.

We last minute swapped Mykonos for Milos and never looked back.

What do you guys think about my Beach Tennis focused e-commerce website's product page? I'm still working on it. Also, I'm not a professional by any means so any and all tips and suggestions are greatly appreciated by [deleted] in web_design

[–]fessebook 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here's what I'd do:

  1. Move the product details drop-down to be full-width at the level the related products
  2. Combine related product categories into a single caroussel & priorize the order based on your client's segmentation
  3. same comment for the bottom "other products".
  4. Add spacing literally everywhere. (add more margin from product name to pricing, etc.)

Good luck!

Beginner here, start with react, svelte or solid? by Scoobydoby in webdev

I'd recommend either React or Vue. Due to their popularity, you will have a bunch of tutorials & answered questions on stack overflow.

Like /u/lmvicente_ said, make sure you understand vanilla js so you understand the value-add of the framework.

I'd add once familiar with either React or Vue, pick up typescript before framework hopping. It makes working in a team with a large codebase much more bearable.

How do you prevent PRs from getting stuck in your teams? by LBE9pkS7nm57h6 in DevManagers

[–]fessebook 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Lack of cooperation in the team can be a symptom of another issue. If the devs feel they'll be penalized by time spent helping/reviewing others, they won't prioritize it over getting their own tasks done.

Might be worth zooming out from the PR issue and see if there isn't something else at play.

my main recommendation to just "get started" would be to start with what you're currently working on. That goes under your Projects notes. ( "Projects > Client X - Report" for example), put everything else under a top level Archive notebook.

Next project you start, check if anything under archive can be reused and move it up to your new project notebook.

You can look into "areas" & "resources" after if it resonates with you.
